Cat and Mouse

Cat
In the forest
Crouching down low
Eyes tracking prey
Moving ever so slow

Mouse
Tries to run
Hides behind a tree
Looking to the heavens
In a desperate plea

Cat
In the woods
Ducking out of sight
Blending with the shadows
Of the deep, dark night

Mouse
Hears the cat
He will try to hide
Even if he is found
At least he'll know he tried

Cat
In the trees
Searching for her prey
Stalking, slowly,
It can only end one way

Mouse
Gets caught!
Gives a little squeak
That's it, the game is over
It's the end of hide and seek
