Danger Woods
I knew that I shouldn’t have come this far into the woods, but there was no way I was leaving without my little sister. When I saw her run off into the woods, I was scared. Now I’m terrified! Everybody knows the legends of Danger Woods. Apparently, there are zombies, vampires, and GIANT FLOATING BABY HEADS! I only believe in one of those phony myths. The one I believe in is “The Legend of the Giant Radioactive Spider.”
I’m not having a very nice day, obviously. At least I’m with my sister. You might be wondering about where we are. Right now, Hailey and I are tied up in a cocoon on that spider’s sticky net with a time bomb in the middle of it, waiting for our deaths. I can see that horrible spider coming now. Good-bye, world.
To make this even worse, the time bomb only has five seconds left before it blows up. The time bomb is ticking. Five, four, three, two, one. It blows up, and there is a huge explosion with blood and guts everywhere! The spider licks up our remains. That is the end of the life of Hailey and Alexa.
Or, that is what I though would happen. Actually, when the bomb went off, candy burst out of it. Then some men wearing suits and ties walked out of a building that I am sure wasn’t there before.
The man who seemed like he was in charge said to somebody standing next to what I thought was the spider, but was actually someone in costume, “How is the movie going? Where did you find these wonderful actresses? They actually looked like they feared for their lives!”
Then he turned to us. “You two were great! How would you like to be SUPERSTARS?!”
Of course, we said yes.
Looking back at my day, I have realized two thing. First, I have an AWESOME life, and second, I shouldn’t believe in legends. Things aren’t always what they seem.
