Photography Contest: Freezing Motion

Have you ever tried to take a picture of something moving really fast? As Edweard Muybridge discovered, it’s not easy. Even your little brother can blur your holiday pictures if he refuses to sit perfectly still. But once you figure out how to freeze motion with your camera, you’ll see the world in a whole new way.

For this month’s contest, Tater thought it would be a great idea for kids to send in their photographs freezing motion. Will you capture your cat leaping quickly off the couch? Or your sister on a swing? Will your subject be sports or nature or something else entirely? Will you make a crystal clear photograph of something too fast to see with the naked eye, or will your frozen motion be a blur of activity?

Whatever you choose, send us your best photograph of our rapidly moving world--just one, please. Everybuggy will be fast-forwarding to the Cricket Country mailbox to ooh and ahh over your photograph freezing motion.
