Art Contest: Western or Frontier Scene

This issue of Cricket is filled with images of Western and frontier America: a Native American boy living in a Wendat village, a modern cowgirl riding to the rescue on her paint pony, and buffaloes grazing on our cover. For this month’s contest, we’d like you to capture a Western or frontier scene in a work of art.

Will you paint a beautiful Western panorama, like our cover? Or an action scene, like the climax of “Cowgirl Morning”? Will your art focus on wildlife and nature, or people, towns, or villages? Will you depict a modern scene, or draw how people lived or played in the past? Will you find inspiration in mountains, prairies, rivers, or deserts? A summer scene, or one deep with snow?

Whichever your choose, everybuggy will be painting their wagons and high-tailing it to the Cricket Country mailbox to see your very best Western or frontier art. Yahoo!
