The Rescue Horse
"Neigh," I whimpered, knowing that my rider was in trouble. She was "group riding" and took the wrong trail. She was now limp on my back, sliding off into the soft patch of clover I was standing in. I laid her down into the clover. She looked pale and wet from the rain.I dragged a broken piece of bush over her body and galloped for help.
I found, in the distance, horses and riders. My friend, Penny! I galloped over the wet grass to her and told her what happened. Her rider said something to the riding teacher, the only human beside my rider that I can understand.
"All right, Treasure, where is she ?" he asked me encouragingly.
I whinnied, galloped back through the grasses to my rider, and removed the bush. The teacher pulled out a gaget from his pocket, punched it with his finger, and talked into it.
Soon we had my rider at the side of the road. She was taken away. I was led to the stable, got a warm rubdown and many treats.
After I told my tale to the other horses. I sighed, thinking of how good it was to be a horse.

Thank you Faye G.for making this contest. While trying to make a 200 or less story, I got an idea for a great story but it was over 200 words long, or I would have posted it. Good luck to all other contestants!
