Hi, WiLdSoNg :) I'm really excited to chat with you. I know we both like Magnus Chase. Who's your favorite character? We also both like skiing. I know I didn't put it on the form, but my family does it a lot every winter. Are you working on any writing projects right now? This last question is kind of random, but do you have any pets?

Yessssss I love Magnus Chase! My favorite character is definitely Alex Fierro. She's sooooo cool. I had my nails painted pink and green for a month because of her :D

Skiing is great! I'm assuming you downhill ski? Correct me if I'm wrong. I both downhill ski and Nordic ski, which is fun. Actually, my friend gets to go to Norway soon with the Team USA youth national biathlon team! (Biathlon is skiing and shooting a rifle. I just joined last winter)
Unfortunately not. I just started high school three weeks ago so I'm busy with that and playing soccer for our varsity team. What grade are you in? (If you want to share)
Do you play any sports?
Yep! I have two antisocial cats, named Mira and Shadow! What about you?

Yeah, I downhill ski. I haven't heard of Nordic skiing before. I'll look it up after I post this comment. Biathlon sounds really cool.
My family has gone to the same mountain for years to ski, so we know it really well. Once I saw a guy in my grade at one of the restaurants there and told my friend. She asked him if he was there on the day I saw him, and it really freaked him out XD
I horseback-ride, and I've also started doing kung fu :) I'd rather not share what grade I'm in
I have a dog. She likes to eat everything.

Thats really cool! I don't really know anything about kung fu. What's it like? I have a couple friends who horseback ride but I don't really know anything about horses. Are you really good?

Hmm. Least favorite character is an interesting question. Randolph is a complex character. I feel bad for him, but he also did some bad stuff. I don't know if I can call him my least favorite character, though. Do you have one?
Wood trails are fun. I don't really do very many of them, though. My dad and my brother both like trails with moguls, but I don't. I would rather have a smoother trail because I like to go fast.
What is shooting a rifle like for biathlon?
I feel guilty for saying I don't want to answer two questions, but I don't think I want to share my dog's name. Sorry, it's not personal.
I've only had a few kung fu classes, so I don't know that much yet, but we've done a lot with dragon form, which is basically a series of movements. We also practice different types of kicks and things like that.
I wouldn't say I'm really good, but I've been doing it for a few years :) How has soccer been?

Yeah that is a tough one. I do feel like Randolph had some chances to do the right thing, but he is a complicated character and Loki is pretty manipulative. I do really hate Mr. Alderman because of the way he treated Hearth. I feel like he has no redeeming qualities.

Cool! Martial art is so interesting. I've always wanted to learn it but never had the time.
Soccer's been good! I'm a freshman, and I made varsity which I'm really proud of. I also start and play most of the games in center midfield! I play all year long so it's kinda most of my life. But it's really fun.
Im really liking my art class this year. We just did a color wheel project and it was actually really fun. My art teacher is amazing!
What are some of the best books you've read?

Oh, yeah. Alderman was horrible to Hearth. We didn't get to learn too much about Inge. I'm definitely not saying she could be my least favorite character, it's just that Alderman reminded me of her.
We do like five weekends every winter and part of February break. My relatives come for the break days :) What about you?
Congratulations on making varsity! I used to play soccer and was mostly a defender.
I also really like my art teacher. We're making collages with things we can cut out from magazines right now, and some of my friends are doing things like putting a dog's head on top of giraffe legs XD The color wheel project sounds interesting. What were the details on that?
Some books I thought were really good were Beyond the Bright Sea and Wolf Hollow, both historical fiction written by Lauren Wolk. Another book by her is Echo Mountain, although I didn't enjoy that one as much. It was as well-written as the others, but the plot just wasn't very interesting to me. The All Four Stars series by Tara Dairman isn't very well-known, I don't think, but the writing style is amazing and unique, and I absolutely loved all three books. They're about a girl who's a restaurant critic for a big newspaper. The writing for the Inheritance Cycle is so descriptive, but that makes it kind of hard to read. Have you read or heard of any of the books I mentioned? What books that you've read do you think are the best?
