Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

On Jenseng the floating city, and the world it represents:

This is the thread about Jenseng I promised to everyone who is intrested in it. Confusing and overly detailed worldbuilding ahead, be cautioned. I'm also somewhat busy this summer, so I may not be consistent in responses and updates to this thread.

Its better the introduction of this thread doesn't become too long and cumbersome, so I'll just introduce how the city came to existence and fill in all the specifics of the world, including races, wars and whatnot once it comes up.

A short recollection of Jenseng's orgins that may not be very important but I think I'll share here to set the mood anyway:

So way, way back in 2021 or 2022, I can't really remember, my school had a 'outbreak' of COVID-19, and half of my class was infected, including me and a few of my classmates. It was a good thing actually, because I was throwing around story ideas with a good friend who also writes stories (We'll call him Joe) and now we could actually have the private time to do that on Zoom when we were feeling slightly better. On one of those calls Joe was flipping through one of my half-finished stories (We exchange Word documents with each other) and was like 'Why don't we do something with this?' The 'this' in this case was a first half of a chapter that I never finished, titled The City In the Sky, containing a rough description of Jenseng's original design. The rest of creation was the result of lots of wild brainwaves and rapid-fire Word document exchanging.

And Jenseng was born. I'll be adding the actual details and lore, like I said, after this thread comes up.
