Wow, what a chaotic calendar! Love it! Now for the AE debates. This moth's topic is: day vs. night...
Interesting! Now for some quotes, gathered and brought to by Tsuki!
"You could call me a creature outside of time and space. But that would be a lie. I'm fourteen." --Darkling
"Would it be demanding too much to demand full citizenship rights in exchange for the sacrificing of my life?" --James G. Thompson
"There's an easy method for finding someone when you hear them scream. First get a clean sheet of paper and a sharp pencil. Then sketch out nine rows of fourteen squares each. Then throw the piece of paper away and find whoever is screaming so you can help them. It is no time to fiddle with paper." --Lemony Snicket
Ha, I love Lemony Snicket's quote! I've been wondering what other CBers have had to say this month, too, so let's get to the LMWAY
LMWAY: March is a month right between winter and spring. Do you prefer winter, or do you like spring best?
Writing says: Spring is SO much better, I think winter sucks
Silver Crystal says: Spring, definitely!! Winter sucks and the only good thing about it is wearing layers.
Em says: I LUV spring, 'cause it's closer to summer, and I like summer, 'cause I can swim in the pool. But I also like winter, 'cause I can sled. So, I would have to say... (Closes eyes, spins around, then points)... SPRING!!
Forest says: I love both! If I had to choose one, though, I'd go with spring, because it means the school year's almost over! :D
Leila says: I like spring better. It's less cold, and where I live, there's lots of flowers. Also, when it rains, it doesn't rain as hard as it does in winter.
GLT says: I'm not sure! Winter? Spring? Actually, I like spring better. Spring.
Pancake says: Spring, because then it's not super cold and I will actually go outside.
Wolfy says: I really love winter, but spring is also nice. I like seasons in general, actuallly. So it's a "can't choose" for me!
Wow, cool! I like spring too! :D Now for advice column. This month, I wanted to know: What is a good way to be kind to people at school?
Em says: If I was in an in-person school, I would, like, help someone with their books if the books fell to the ground, or maybe if someone had crutches and was tryin' to carry their lunch, but couldn't have the one crutch, I would take it over to the person's table.
Forest says: A great way to be kind to someone at school is to help them study or understand the work. If you are particularly knowledgable about a certain subject, you can help people who might be struggling. I'm not the best in math, so if someone took the time to help me study, I would certainly appreciate it!
Leila says: If you want to make more friends at school, or wherever, it really helps to compliment people. Give real compliments-about their earrings, shoes, backpack, anything. Another way to be nice to people in your school is to reach out. If they seem lonely, ask about them! They'll appreciate having someone to talk to. Or if they are having a hard time in a certain subject, or missed class, you can help them by studying with them or giving them a copy of your notes.
GLT says: Since I don't go to public school, I may not be able to answer it as well as other CBers, but I think the best way is to Have a conversation with them and make sure it is friendly.
Wolfy (my iPad keeps autocorrecting it to Wolfe >:/) says: I find holding the door is a simple act of kindness that can go a long way. Also, respect your teachers! They deserve it. Respecting others is a good way to be kind, period.
Awesome, that's great advice! Thanks, all!
Location of the month is Frolicking in a Field of Flowers from Forest Nymph! Congrats and thanks to everyone who entered.
Jokes column:
Em says: Q: What is fluffy, wooly, cute, and sounds like a kitten?
A: A kitten dressed like a lamb!
Forest says: Can February March? No, but April May.
Wolfy says: Here's a silly limerick! If you ever move to Nantucket/You must pack your toilet or truck it/If the potty won't fit/In your car for a bit/You might have to pee in a bucket!
Very funny! Now, lastly, for the riddle. January's riddle was
“Take off my skin– I won’t cry, but you will. What am I?” – Difficult Riddles for Smart Kids by M. Prefontaine. The answer was an onion! Here's another riddle from that same book:
"Voiceless, it cries. Toothless, it bites. What is it?"
Mwahaha, you will be in suspense until May.
That's it from us! Happy March from all of us at Elsewhere, Inc.
(March 1, 2022 - 8:22 pm)
AE banter is the best. *chef's kiss* For some reason, I'm thinking about mosquitoes... Also here is some Pi: -----[} Oh, it hit you in the face? That gives me an idea... *mysterious scheming ensues*
(March 2, 2022 - 8:07 am)
(March 2, 2022 - 10:37 am)
(March 3, 2022 - 7:54 am)
Oh, here's an idea! For March 9th, Get Over It Day, you could listen to 'Do What You Gotta Do' from Descendants 3, just ofr those lines "Get over it--I am over it-I'm over you being over it" :)
(March 6, 2022 - 9:54 am)
Great as always, Elsewhere! I'm gonna be wondering about the riddle all month... As I work on the next MCU, which I'm already stressed about lol
(March 6, 2022 - 12:30 pm)
Whoop! Great job! :D
