How hot does it get in summer where you live?

I live in one of the hottest parts of California, and it averages around 95-105 (f) during the summer, although last summer we broke a record in our neighborhood of 121!! 

It's actually pretty dangerous. Especially when it's 121 degrees. So we just went to my grandparents house, it's only 25 minutes away, but it's a lot cooler. Probably like 90 degrees.

I think a mail(wo)man died last year, of the heat, which is so scary!! When it gets to be above 100, we can't really take my dog out for a walk anymore, because it's so hot on his paws!

Wow. That is...Hot. I don't think it's ever gotten up to 121 here. I live in NC, so it does get pretty hot, but it doesn't usually get into the 100's. For summer, I'd say it's usually inbetween low 80's (if we're lucky) and high 90's. Though it is soooo humid a lot of the time, so that make it worse. I think yesterday it was 84 or something, but the weather app said it felt like 95 because of the humidity. When your outside in the summer here, it is likely you will feel like you ae inside of a wet sock. Bleh. My family has a dog too, and she doesn't like the heat either. It's gotten to the point where we go outside, and about 10 minutes later, my dog is dragging and is trying to pull us home (Though my dog is quite a diva, so she doesn't have high toerances for really anything exept food. She is bonkers for food).

121 degrees?? ouch. I live in NC as well and it tends to get to about 90 each day in the summertime. But the weather here is SO inconsistent! At least once a summer there is a random few days where it's like 60 or 70 degrees and feels like fall. Then the next day it'll be almost 100 again. That's just North Carolina for you, I guess.

I'd like to think it gets pretty hot around where I live, but I'm guessing there are many others who live in hotter places. Ohio weather is very funky though, so the weather is constantly changing!

I also live in the western USA, and I've heard that the western states are currently experiencing a major drought during the summer. It can also get to 100+ degrees where I live, in South CA.

Gosh, 121 is scary! I'm also in California, and it got up to 115 the other day! It's even worse when it's hot and smoky, though. *shudders*

I live on the East Coast, and it's about 85 to 90 degrees here!

I'm up in eastern Washington and I think we've had multiple weeks where it's been over 100 degrees for the entire seven days. The highest its gotten is 118, I believe. 

Oh no, 121 degrees is terribly hot, that seems scary! Stay safe in the heat <3

It sounds like you live pretty close to me, Clementine! I also live in Southern California, so it gets pretty hot, but it's been way cooler than 121, more like 70s recently. It's gotten pretty toasty lately, though.

hi im kinda back idk? Uhm so around our neighborhood in north-cal the hottest day was i think around 110 for a little then it turned into 102 really quick... weird weather now-a-days

wow, you guys in california must be burning! i live in NY, and the average (accoding to google) is around 85-90 degrees. i'm just glad i don't start school in august, because i know some schools/places do. there's also a lot of shade and ice crem trucks where i live, which is nice :)

I live in Kansas, and the weather is mad inconsistent here. It’s usually around 90 or so in the summer, but occasionally we’ll have a week where the weather feels like fall or spring. And sometimes we’ll have a ton of rain for a couple days, then it will be like an oven outside the next day. Even in the other seasons, we’ll have randomly hot days when it’s supposed to be cold.
