MCU Planning Thread
Hello, members of the MCU Team,
From now on this is where you will post your prompts and contributions for the monthly MCUs we make. Please be sure to included the month and year your prompt or contribution is meant for so it gets in to the the right MCU!
You are always welcome to post promtps and contributions a couple months in advance (just remember to come back when your advance months run out). We do really appreciate it when it comes in early so we can get the thread out asking for responses sooner so CBers have more time to respond.
If you are unable to make your contribution for a month please let us know and someone can step in to take over for the month you are unable to do.
Have a good day; and MCU forever!

Here's this month's culture section!
Asian Markets
The term "Asian markets" or "Asian supermarkets" refers to supermarkets in Western countries that sell food from all over Asia: East, South, and Southeast. These markets became popular in the 1960s and 70s, as more Asian Americans began to immigrate to the United States. Asian immigrants couldn't get the ingredients they needed to prepare their usual foods at the "normal" supermarket, so they needed a place where they could get whatever they needed. Going to these markets was nostalgic for many immigrants, as it was almost like a taste of their home. Nowadays, there are many Asian markets around the West. Some of these supermarkets are primarily Chinese, or Indian, or Korean, but many sell foods from any number of Asian countries, from sushi rice to clams to jackfruit.
And after that delicious article, Merrp says "cafud." Seriously? Cat food? You couldn't find anything better to say? Well I guess you are 50% kitten...maybe I should feed you.

It's almost July! Here's the July LMWAY:
Barbecue, fireworks, and parades are all great ways to celebrate the Fourth of July, but what are some new traditions we can start to make independence day even more special? (the wackier the better)
(June 20, 2021 - 12:18 pm)
July, 2021;
Quote: “I am a pickled pepper.” - Morning (as PygmyOwl)
Song: This Is Me (The Greatest Showman)
Random fact: Popsicle is a trademarked word, as is Creamsicle, Fudgesicle, and Yosicle.
How to: HOW TO JOIN A FANDOM: Watch/read/play the show/movie/book/game/whatever. Draw some fanart. Obsess over the fandom. Done.

Hey, erm, this is one of my first Chatterbox comments ever, so I'm not exactly sure what's all happening and I have a question. What's MCU? L...Loki's MCU?
(September 28, 2021 - 8:25 am)
hey tsuki, i know this is kind of late- this month is famously inactive- but MCU stands for Monthly Catch-Up. It used to be run by a legendary CBer named Ella Starburst, but she recently retired/left (but not on a bad note!!) and a few other CBers were planning to revive it, though i don't think they ever really finished anything? (correct me if i'm wrong)
I think the new group did at least one month.
