So, as you all probably know by now, Ella Starburst and Floof Industries are leaving the CB. This leaves us MCU-less. :( however, we are a community of determined CBers, so we are not leaving this behind.
Lyre, of course, has created their monthly newsletter, which I am looking forward too! It's going to include a lot of fun (and helpful!) things, but we should definitely continue the mcu as well.
Feli suggested that we should each take over a section of the MCU, and as far as I can tell, everyone is supportive of that idea. So, here are the sections of the mcu:
important dates
location of the month
LMWAY (last month we asked you)
advice column
CBer awards
ask abcde (although I believe bakerloo and morning already have this one taken over)
Each one of us can choose a section to take over. If we got too many volunteers, we could switch off every other month, or we could add more sections if there are more ideas.
After all CBers have written up their section, someone (I believe Peregrine has volunteered for this role) could paste them all into one post. Everyone could include banter with their own AEs, as well, because why not?
I would love to come up with the prompts for the LMWAY, but anyone else can do that too.
I don't want to make this post too long, but everyboday put your ideas here!! If we agree to do this, then we'll have to organize who does what section, etc.

@Clementine, it stands for Monthly Check-Up. I didn’t figure that out for months, hehe.
@Twilight, should I do something else? (I’m not sure what.) It looks like we both posted around the same time. :,)

Who wants to be on the AE staff member queue? (I guess that person would also write introductions and things.) I guess we can sign up to be on it. We coils also sign up for specific months if that works better. I can do it next month is that’s alright. Speaking of which, we should probably have the first one be for May. It would be best for everyone to have everything posted, oh, at least a week or two before the first of a month so that Peregrine can put it together and whoever is doing the staff interjections thing that month can, well, interject.

Feli, maybe you and MoonKitten could split important dates? If, of course, @MoonKitten is okay with that. Like, they could do the 1st through 15th, and you could do the 16th through 30th. Only if you both want to, though, I was just looking for a job you could do :)
I think we should have people sign up for certain months to be the "host" with their AEs.
To add AE interjections when all the parts are separate, we would have to have the "host" for the month respond to each comment with their banter. Maybe a little confusing, but doable. Feli, are you hosting for May? If so, I can do June.
@Writing, I like the idea! May I suggest one thing? Have CBers suggest what each "thing of the month" should be, and you can choose the one you like best. (so we can have more participants and all that). The section should be really fun, though.

Responding to each comment might be too much of a hassle, and I *think* that Floof *might* have interjected and provided commentary in the middles of sections. Sure, I can host for May if no one is objected to that and you can do June!
Also to @Writing: That idea seems really cool! My favorite part is the quotes -- another idea would to create a section just for quotes from around the CB that month, or we could go with your idea which would be perfectly fine.

So, does anyone have any ideas for how the host can do their AE interjections and such? It would make sense for the host to put it together and write their commentary then, but that would leave our current paster job-less.
Once we've decided what all the prompts and stuff are gonna be, we have to make a thread requesting responses for the other CBers and such. @Peregrine, as our paster, could you do this? I'm talking about one of these: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/thismonth/node/470832

I'm still in! Just let me know what all the prompts are and I will make a thread. I would like to do a Book of the Month feature in the MCU, if everyone is okay with that. It would just list a book, it's author and a short review of it.
