The Holidays Are
The Holidays Are Here!
You walk into the room, observing the silver tinsel looped around the walls, the giant fir tree in the corner, the candles on the table, the potato pancakes resting on a chair.
This is the Holiday House, a place that only appears in December. It is run by me, Holiday Spirit (Call me Holiday) and I hope you will come sit down and rest!
Our fireplace is warming the room, the menorah is on the sideboard, and presents are appearing under the tree.

Share holiday traditions, worldbuild, eat cookies, and have a good time here in the Holiday House.
I look forward to seeing you!

The roleplaying style is one I like to call Interactive Imagination Adventure, similar to Daydreams Cafe.
Enjoy!

Yayy, this is so cool!! Thx to whoever topped this! And, @C&J/just Jay, that sounds cool! Or we could just have Holiday be like a NPC or whatever you call it when everyone can play them? Anyway, I suppose I'll start this on a fresh slate (oc, this was edited 30 sec ago by Moon Wolf, hi Moon Wolf!, so I'll change it as fits later)~
I walk through the freezing blizzard, clothed in only a scarf, my kitten mittens (that I'd lost long ago but, by some miracle, are now on my hands again), and my trusty, many-zippered-pocketed, bright green rain/wind/snow-jacket. I don't fight against the wind but rather walk with it, letting myself be buffeted wherever it sees fit. I plod along, my boots sinking into the snow, going nowhere in particular. The trees, bowing down with snow, suddenly seem to part on either side of me and I see a small farmhouse, all decked out for the holidays, in the middle of the woods. I break into a run, exhilarated by the mysterious presence of such warmth nestled so comfortably in the midst of this biting cold. I step up the rickety stairs and stand at the front door, wondering if I should ring the bell. Common sense suddenly makes an appearance and I realize that it's probably not the wisest thing to knock on an isolated stranger's door in the middle of the cold, dark woods. Then I realize the door is already open, inviting music playing inside urgeing me in. Against better judgement, I step inside...
A fire plays in the hearth, leaping to and fro. There's a big tree in the middle of the room, presents heaped underneath, even though it's Thanksgiving and not yet December (perhaps time is different here and it's always December year-round though). There seems to be no one here, but I feel comfortable and safe. I climb into a big armchair, occupied by a huge stuffed animal lion (also previously lost to time), and close my eyes, soaking it all in...
sry about the horrible writing, oh well

This sounds cool! Not sure how it rlly works but...
I walk into a rather grand room with a giant fir tree decorated with ornaments and tinsel in the corner. The scent of gingerbread candles wafts my way. It is rather empty at the moment, unfortunately. I decide to sit on a nearby chair and wait to see if others will arrive.
(November 23, 2023 - 12:35 pm)
I look around and see that Celine has arrived. When, I have no idea. Not that it really matters. The sound of the fireplace crackles merrily.
"Hi Celine!" I greet her. "Ready for the holidays?"
(November 24, 2023 - 12:51 am)
Looking around, I suddenly realize that Moon Wolf is here! How I missed her before, I don't know. "Hi Celine!" she says, "Ready for the holidays?" I grin. "The holidays? You bet I am! Presents, hot cocoa, marshmallows.." as I speak, a mug of hot cocoa, overflowing with marshmallows, appears in my hand. I giggle. "But it seems they're already here, huh? How about you?"

"The holidays? You bet I am!" She smiles. "Presents, hot cocoa, marshmallows..." As she's speaking, a mug of hot cocoa stuffed with marshmallows appears in her hand and she giggles. "But it seems they're already here, huh? How about you?"
"Same," I reply. "Even the radios are playing Christmas music now." I turn over to look at the Christmas tree. "And the presents! Nearly forgot about that." I snap my fingers and a blue box wrapped in a silky red ribbon appears. I smile and say, "What’s at the top of your Christmas list?"

Moon Wolf agrees. "Same," she says. "Even the radios are playing Christmas music now. And the presents! Nearly forgot about that." she snaps her fingers and a blue box wrapped in a silly red ribbon appears in her hands. She smiles and says, "what's at the top of your Christmas list?" I pause, considering. This seems like it should be an easy answer, right? Books! What more could I want? But... in truth, I don't really want anything... I've got all I need. That's why I froze at yesterday's Thanksgiving dinner, when the question was asked. I've already got everything! But, wait... actually, that's not true. Because I may have all I need but not all I want - or, I do, but I'm not in real life anymore... I'm in the Holiday House, where even the most bizarre wishes can come true! "Honestly," I say, slowly... "honestly, what I want, what I really want... is Time. More time. As much time as I want, whenever I want, however I want! I could do so many things... I've got piles and piles of books that I SOOO want to read, but that I leave sitting in the dust cause I just don't know where to start, what book to delve into first, in my limited time, so I just... don't delve into any at all. And time would be so helpful with NaNo, I just want to write and write and write all day every day no worries, but of course there are always worries, and so... I don't. That's, um, why I want to be an author when I grow up." I pause, realizing that everything I just said is actually really true, maybe the truest Christmas wishlist I've ever had. "But, enough about me," I say, nodding towards the box on Moon Wolf's lap. "Why don't you open that present?"
oh my... wow, thank you Moon Wolf. Bc wow I just figured out what I want for Christmas, what I want in general, after wondering for days, just in one mini-rant... :0

It's been a while since I've stepped foot in the Holiday House. I don't quite know how I found this place again… Perhaps it found me.
Well, good timing. The holidays have arrived, and these presents are heavy.
Inside, Celine and Moon Wolf have already arrived.
"Celine! Moon Wolf! Hello!" I wave at them. The room is warm - a fire crackles in the fireplace - and the snow is already melting on my clothes. I remove my jacket and scarf, hanging them by the door, and put my ear muffs around my neck. "Do you two mind helping me with these gifts?"
(November 24, 2023 - 8:21 pm)
Celine tells me that what she really wants the most is time. Time to do reading, writing, all that's wanted and all that's needed. I find myself agreeing with her. Time...there's not enough of it. She then asks for me to open my present, but as I'm about to reply, I see Peri enter the house carrying a hefty stack of presents.
"Celine! Moon Wolf! Hello!" She waves at us. I wave back. "Do you two mind helping me with these gifts?"
"Not at all!" I reply. I hurry over and take one of the presents from the stack. "Where do you want it?"
(November 24, 2023 - 10:39 pm)
I step into the Holiday House, and the atmosphere of warmness from the fire tinted with the scent of peppermint is familiar. I haven't been here in nearly three years, when I had been gifted three perfect little dragons- Moss, Scarlett, and Galaxy. Inside is Celine, Moon Wolf, and Periwinkle, all laughing and arranging gifts by the fire. I'm carrying mine- a tin container wrapped in newspaper- with both gloved hands.
"Hi guys!" I say, walking forward and letting the door shut behind me. "What's up?"
(November 24, 2023 - 11:16 pm)
It's been a long schoolday, so I decide to take a walk. I leave my AEs back at our apartment, and begin to roam the streets of our cold, bustling city.
The smell of warm, toasted bread taunts me, and my stomach growls--but I continue walking. Perhaps it's best just to walk today.
Next, I smell a rich, chocolatey scent--but continue walking.
Finally, after about two more blocks of walking through the crowded, snowy, and bright streets--I give in to my desire for something warm and pleasing. Today has been stressful.
I turn to my left, spotting a large cabin. How odd...A cabin in the city. The cabin has a sign next to it, which states that it is The Holiday House. I peek through the windows, and a couple girls (or demigirls, whichever they choose to identify as). To my surprise, the girls inside aren't just any girls, but are actually part of the CB--Moon Wolf, Celine, and Periwinkle!
This is just what I needed! I think, as I step into the house. A friendly, coddling environment with a few friends...How soothing...
"Hello!" I say, my form shifting from a tall, dark-skinned girl with antlers to a (slightly shorter than average) girl with heterochromic (blue and brown) eyes, blonde/blue hair, cat ears and tail, and glasses. (Sorry! This was mainly me deciding on Parody's form...a bit too detailed...) "Hi, Celine, Peri, and Moon Wolf!"
(November 24, 2023 - 11:19 pm)
"Not at all!" Moon Wolf takes a present from the stack. "Where do you want it?"
"Hmm… Just over there is fine!" I gesture towards the tree. "Anywhere under the tree. Thanks!"
Eventually, we manage to get the gifts arranged under the tree and by the fire. Silver Crystal arrives and smiles.
"Hi guys! What's up?"
Parody arrives just after her. "Hello!"
"Hey!" I wave. "Good to see you two! There's presents I got for you under the tree here somewhere…" I look around.
(November 25, 2023 - 9:33 am)
Peri tells me to put it anywhere under the tree, so I walk over to the decked out Christmas tree and set the present down underneath it. We also arrange the rest of the gifts.
Silver Crystal arrives and greets us. "Hi guys! What's up?"
Directly after her, Parody arrives. "Hello! Hi, Celine, Peri, and Moon Wolf!"
I wave at them and say, "Nice to see you! More the merrier."
Peri greets them as well, before looking for the presents she got for them.
I guess I should get out more presents for everyone here, I think to myself. I quickly get some more, all in colorful, wintery colors, and put them down by the Christmas tree with their respective labels.
"Should we get our presents now, or should we wait for more people?" I ask.
