For the safety

For the safety of this thread, we ask that it is bottomed and not topped again. Thank you.

The captain sighed, tapping her fingers against the control panel. She had always insisted that someone had messed the thing up, but the mechanic wasn't so sure--throwing all sorts of terms and situations about until she had to surrender.

Research had continued as usual. The ship was currently stationary, however, for no reason other than that they needed a break, the ship needed to be checked and maintained, and the new crew would arrive in four days, giving them four days to spend making sure everything ran smoothly as possible and Cas didn't spend too much time talking about Alien theories. Lux couldn't keep the boy in line...

She gave the controls another good tap, a hologram finally emitting from them. She grew more anxious the longer the ship stilled. She had too much time to waste, too much time in which her little secrets could creep out.

Why shouldn't they? A small part of her mind whispered. Do you deserve to keep secrets? Quite the luxury, aren't they?

Luxury? No, they could never be a luxury when all they'd done was stab her in the back.
