To the Admin: I am trying to enter my photo for the Summer Photography contest online, but whenever I click submit or upload, the computer can't display the page. It says the reason is there is a problem with the server. Is it just me? Is this happening to anyone else? I'd like to be able to enter.

 

We've just tested here and aren't having a problem. We've received other entries, so it may not having anything to do with us. Are you on Mac or PC? Which browser and applications are you using?

I also want to ask... if I submit my photo the day BEFORE the contest deadline, will it get there on time?????????  :D  Thanks Admins.  You guys r great!!!!

If you submit your photo online, we should get it right away. But if you're US mailing it to the PO Box 300 address, please allow several days for delivery. We should receive it by the 25th. Although since the 25th is on Saturday, this month, we will accept whatever comes on July 27, too, the next business day.

Admin, for the photography contest, I have this AMAZING picture I want to enter, but it has the date written in that hideous bright yellow in the corner, because I had forgotten to take it off when I took it.  Do the contest judges care if there's a date or not??  Because, if they do, I have a version of the picture where I edited the date out, but I wasn't sure if photos that have been edited would work, so would they??  Haha, but I don't really care if they do, because the second version doesn't look all that great. :):) thanks! :D

 

Don't worry about the date--shouldn't matter.

Actually, it let me submit it (this was yesterday) but my mom hasn't gotten the conformation/ permission email yet. How long does it take to arrive? Have you gotten my picture yet? I really want to enter this contest, but the 25th is coming and my our family won't be in town the next few days...  Admin help, please?

 

We're going to go through the contest entries next week and send the confirming e-mails. (This is a new process for us--submitting photo contest entries online--so we're trying to be careful not to mess it up.) However, if you are Willa C., I see that we received your attempted entry, but not the photograph! Did you upload it properly? You need to submit it again.  Entries from others have come through fine.

Okay admin, I tried again but my photo is more than the requirements. And now it is past the deadline, but if I get it in, I'm wondering if there's any possibility you could still accept it, since I got the form, minus picture, in before the 25th? Thanks.

Yes, Willa, since you had trouble submitting it, we'll accept your photo late.

Thank you SO MUCH for your help, Admin, but after spending several hours on the computer trying to get the form to accept my photo, I have decided to let this contest go. I'm really sorry if this has made any problems for you. Did you have any complaints from mac users? The final problem was that my photo was in jpeg format and there was no way to change it. Did anyone else have this problem? 

 

Willa, your photo is showing in a comment you sent, not with the form but in another comment. I think we'll be able to consider it from the comment you submitted.
