Chatterbox: In This Month's Issue

Question for Admins....
I wanted to know (or rather my mom will eventually want to know) is about the writing that goes on here.
So what's the like, thing on Cricket for writing? How much is the writing protected from plagiarism? Is it protected at all? What about publishing....does that have anything to do with the Chatterbiox?
I'm not sure how to ask my question...any information that I could tell my parents if they ask, about writing I put on here.
Thanks.
Chatterbox is open to anyone. We have no way to control anyone who may copy writings posted on Chatterbox and post them elsewhere. We do ask our users to clearly identify the author of anything they submit that is not their own original work, such as favorite quotes or song lyrics.
We do sometimes publish short comments or writing excerpts that have been submitted to Chatterbox in Cricket magazine. When we do that, we identify the name of the person who submitted the text to Chatterbox. But the only names we allow on Chatterbox are real first names with last initial only (no real last name), or a completely made up user name for Chatterbox. Let us know if you have more questions.
