Has anyone ever been a friend to someone in need of one, like Tina does in the story? I was a friend to my great-grandma when it seemed like she would die. I am still a friend to her, don't take me wrong, but you know what I mean...

When I was in 1st grade (when I went to school) there was one girl who I think had autism. Anyways, she was stuck in wheelchair, couldn't walk, couldn't talk. The funny thing was, EVERYONE loved her just the way she was. I find that awesome, and have great memories of playing with her.

I think that is very cool. We have autistic people at my school, and everyone kind of thinks it's a big joke. I really don't like how people do that, and it bums me out that humans at times can be just plain awful.

I know how you feel. There are people I have seen at the mall and everyone is starring at them. One time I saw a little girl and she would not stop pointing at a disabled girl. But also I have seen kids who have disabled friends. I think that's very cool that people will sometimes go out of their way to help people who can't help themselves. I think you would like the book 'Out of My Mind' it is about a disabled girl. It is a very cool story.

@ frendliss burd--

Everyone deserves to have friends! I'll be friends with you, and I'm sure others will too (just don't eat them when you get mad!)
