Why do you think Sojourner Truth was such a powerful speaker?

I think that Sojourner Truth was a powerful speaker because she truly believed in what she was saying.

Since Sojourner was of a race that people discriminated against, she lived a life where the majority didn't care about her, so she basically lived the same life a man would. She did eveything for herself, sooo unlike a woman. Now, speaking to these people, she was able to relate her life, and to show that woman could do exactly what men did with, sometimes, a little effort and it wasn't hard at all. It was Truth's life experiences and determination to fight for all women's rights that helped her to be the strong speaker she was. Laughing

I think it was because she had such truth to what she said, they even though people wanted to say she was wrong, they really couldn't get around the truth in what she said. The truth is more impactful than probably any other lie you could come up with. Quote; "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32.
