I might pick a crow. They're rather mysterious, and it would be fun to train it to sit on my shoulder! I might even call it Ugly Bird! ;-)

Slightly random, but this reminds me of the 'Penguin Whisperer' story. There is a kid in my Japanese class who can command the TV. It's really old and never works for anyone but him, so we call him the "TV Whisperer".

This too, reminds me of something off topic. It reminds me of Mr. Popper's Penguins, anyone else read that?

I'd pick a crow. Crows are incredibly intelligent, being Corvidae, so it wouldn't be just a dumb pet. In addition, a penguin would be too hard to keep, and swans have terrible temperaments.

My ideal bird pet would be a cute penguin. I love the way the walk.
