I fell up one staircase, then fell down another a few days later.  *facepalm*  My friends thought when I fell up was really funny because it was a horrible fall and I got a huge bump on my knee, but I got right back up and kept walking.  I'm such a klutz, I'm used to it by now.

I fell up the steps of a school bus as I was getting in. The girls in back laughed at me. They reminded me of it almost every day after and called me "Einstein" for being so smart as to fall "up" the steps. The funny thing is, we became friends because of that and their teasing was more like the way friends tease each other. I'm a white kid in a mostly white town and the girls are black but doing something clumsy got us talking and liking each other. Maybe "clumsy" isn't always a bad thing.
