Hey Chatterboxers! I
Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
Hey Chatterboxers! I
Hey Chatterboxers! I haven't been on Cricket in a while. Some of you might remember me. So since I just got back I've decided to make a new RP! Ok, so it's like an academy for 'special' kids. For example empaths, or people with super reflexes. Basicaly low key super powers. Ya it's kinda corny, but it's fun! So yeah.
Here's my charrie:
Name- Laura Anderson
Physical Description- average height, long strait black hair, sharp blue eyes, tan
Personality- nice, funny, easily excited
powers: empath (can read other people's emotions), and can sometimes control other people's emotions too
Ok, so, the whole thing is the school is trying to turn these kids with special abilities into living weapons.
Laura-
I stared at the wall of my room with the speakers on full blast. I wasn't exactly sure what song was playing. I usually ignored the lyrics. Suddenly my mom banged on the door. "Laura! Someone's here to see you!" I shut off the speakers and opened the door. "Who?" "Just come and see for yourself." While my mom just walked down the staris I slid down the hand rail and jumped down at the bottom. A tall woman with short cropped hair and sunglasses in a suit waited at the door. "Who are you?" I asked. She seemed to glare right through me with those dark sunglasses, like she was testing me or something. "I am Miss Russo of the Academy for Special Children." I glanced at my mom. "What, am I mental or something?" My mom rolled her eyes and sighed. "Of course not Laura! Miss Russo's just talking about, your, uh, unique abilities." "Oh gosh. You mean?" "Yes." "Great. Ok so what's the plan? Take me to a government facility and do tests on me?" I asked Miss Russo. "No. You're not that special." "Gee, thanks." "Go on Laura, you'll be able to learn how to control it." "Yeah ok, whatever." That's when I packed my bags and headed off to the Academy in a dark limosene with blacked-out windows.

Hey NAME! Glad you're back! This sounds cool. Here's my charrie:
Name: Quinn Baker
Gender: girl
Age: 15
Powers: can control temperature and is uneffected by temperatures (never gets cold/hot). Also can control like planet temperatures not just the temperature in a room though it takes a lot more energy.
Description: Short, elbow length brown hair, brown eyes
Personality: Short tempered, fiercely brave, protective
History: None really, she's been an orphan since her parents died in a sinking cruise ship. To this day she won't go in any sort of boat and doesn't even really like water that much either. Lives in Oakland Orphanage.
Quinn-
I walked into the dark alley way. It was below zero in Minnesoda but I wasn't cold. I didn't get cold. I passed through the alley and kept walking until I reached what I called home: an orphanage on the side of the road that just happened to be a dump at the same time. To my surprise a dark limosine with blacked-out windows was parked out front. Some kid was probably getting adopted. It was always the little ones; no one wanted the stupid little teenager. As if. I opened the door and walked inside to find a girl I've never seen before and a tall woman in a business suit and black sunglasses talking to the head nun, Sister Miranda. They looked at me as I walked in. "Don't mind me. I'll just get a water bottle and be on my way." I started toward the fridge when Sister Miranda stopped me. "No Quinn, these people are here for you." I don't think I've ever been more shocked. "What?" The tall woman held out her hand which I cautiously shook. "I am Miss Russo of The Academy for Special Children." "Great, you're sending me to a mental institute. Thanks." Sister Miranda looked at me with sharp eyes. "Quinn! That is not how we speak to company!" "Sorry Sister Miranda." She nodded then turned back to Miss Russo. "Continue please." "I am here to invite Quinn to join the institute." "Why?" "Because of your ability to control temperature." No one moved. I personally made the room drop a few degrees and soon you could see our breath. "How did you know?" "I am in charge of a large operation here. I know of every gifted child on the planet. This is Laura Anderson, a new student as well. Tell them what you can do Laura." The girl, Laura, stood up. "I'm an empath. I can also control your emotions." "Yeah right." I rolled my eyes. Suddenly I felt sad, then overjoyed, then sad again. Then back to normal. "What did you just do to me?" "I told you, I can control your emotions." I stared open-mouthed at Laura. "Awesome." She smiled. "Thanks." I turned the room back to its normal temperature. "So Quinn, will you join us?" Miss Russo asked. I was quiet for a while. My answer was inevitable though. "Yeah, yeah I'll go." I went upstairs to pack up my few posessions, then I joined Laura and Miss Russo in the back of the limo and was off to the Academy.

To the front little thread!! TOPTOPTOPTOPTOP!!!
(March 5, 2012 - 6:34 am)
Welcome back! I think I remember you from back when I was Analesia.
Name- Madison "Sonny" Jefferson
Age- 15
Physical Description- five nine, short blond hair, pale, green eyes, looks like a supermodel
Personality- snooty, but in a joking way, kind on the inside punctuated by snarky remarks,
Powers- psychic, but can only sense things a minute before, can sense huge things up to years in advance, but that doesn't happen often
History- I said she looks like a supermodel before because she is one. Her parents moved her to New York City when she was five because she was really pretty. She's one of those models that's as famous as *gags* Justin Bieber. She wants to design clothes when she grows up. She already has a perfume out.
Sonny-
"Madison, hon, get your skinny backside over here so Philip can do your hair before you go out on the stage," my manager, Karla yelled from across the room. "Eez Phillipe, Madamoiselle," the tacky French hairstylist told her. It was New York Fashion Week, and, yet again, I was modeling Lola clothing. One day, Lola will be modeling my clothing, but, until then, I was strutting over to Phillipe to get my hair styled into an updo. Story of my life.
As usual, I sensed it was coming a minute before. I've never quite understood my powers and why I had to be the one lame psychic who had short-term visions, but they've always been there. "Monica!" I snapped at the lowly assistant peering over Phillipe's shoulder, "Get the door." She nodded meekly and walked over to it just as the doorbell rang. Everyone in the business knows of my intuition now. They take it for granted. Luckily, no one's leaked it to the tabloids yet. A tall woman in a suit walked in. I looked her up and down for inspiration, as usual, and saw the outfit did not suit her figure. The teens following behind her were dressed a little better, but nothing like Lola designs.
"Miss Jefferson, where is your mother?" the woman asked me. I then got the next minute downloaded into my brain. She was going to ask me about my abilities. Seeking answers, I led her personally to Kay. "Kay, Mrs..." "Larsen." "Larsen here wishes to talk to you." "Which magazine?" Kay (Yes, I call my mother by her first name. Don't judge.) asked. She was looking at my updo and comparing it to the diagram on her sheet. My mother used to be an engineer. She diagrams everything.
"None, it's about my psychic stuff," I told Kay. "How did you know that?" Mrs. Larsen asked. "Let me repeat myself. My PSYCHIC stuff." "Right. Please sit with Laura and Quinn here while I talk to your mother."
The next minute downloaded. "So, a special school? Are psychic people mental now?" I asked them. "Nah, it's like people with special powers," Quinn said. Laura was staring at me with her mouth hanging open. "You 'kay there?" I asked her. "Just. Can't. Believe. Supermodel. Wearing. Emote. Now," she choked out. "Bask in my glory, why don't you?" "Sorry, she's been like this since we learned we were coming to Fashion Week," Quinn explained. "It's alright, I was like that my first time, too," I replied. "Can you...?" Laura asked, taking out the latest Lola catalog. I took a Sharpie out of my Lola boot and signed it. "Now... an empath and a temp-changer. Pretty neat." "Yeah," Laura said, snapping out of her stupor. Kay and Mrs. Larsen came walking back over. "Pack your things, Son, Fashion Week's over..."
(March 5, 2012 - 4:47 pm)
Wow you changed your name to Melody! I love that name! Maybe I should change my name...
Laura-
I looked at Miss Russo. "Is there anyone else we're picking up on our way to the institute?" I asked. She nodded. "Just one more. Then we'll be on our way." I didn't know whether to be scared of happy or anxious or all of the above. We all filed into the car: me, then Sonny, then Quinn. I turned to Sonny. "If you're going to ask about my powers, please don't. I'm so tired of telling people I'm psychic." I shut my mouth then opened it again; she sighed. "Fine, I guess I could be bothered to know what your powers are." I was slightly confused so Quinn spoke first. "STOP IT WITH THE PSYCHIC STUFF!! YOU'RE MAKING ME CRAZY!!" We both stared at her a little open mouthed. "Um, ok?" Sonny said, though it was more of a question than a statement. Miss Russo turned to look at us. "Would you please be quiet Quinn. I do not wish to have to throw you out before we get to the Academy." Quinn swallowed and said in a small quiet voice, "Sorry." I cleared my throat. "Anyway, I'm Laura Anderson and I'm an empath. I can also control other people's emotions." Sonny looked approving. "Cool." I smiled, a little relieved that she didn't say anything before I finished my sentence. "And I'm Quinn Baker. I can control the temperature anywhere." "Anywhere?" Sonny and I asked at once. She nodded, a huge grinn on her face. Suddenly the car lurched to a stop and Quinn was thrown into a wall. She groaned. "Should have worn a seat belt," Sonny muttered in a disapproving voice. I laughed. "Shut up." Quinn groaned. "We are here," Miss Russo said in her odd monotone voice. We all got out of the car to see a rather average-looking house. I was immediately relieved. No fashion studio, no rundown orphanage. Just a normal house. "This is the house of a girl called Sora Hirnleser. She is telepathic, and after reading thoughts she can see into your future," Miss Russo instructed much like a teacher. Sonny looked uncomfortable. "Well then, let's go." I followed Miss Russo with the others trailing behind me. Miss Russo knocked four times then waited just liked she'd done the other two times. Soon a tall brown-haired woman with green-gray eyes and a small amount of freckles stood in the doorway. "Mrs. Hirnleser, I am Johana Russo of the Academy for Special Children. These are three of my students. We are here to offer your daughter Sora a full scholarship to our Academy." "What is this? A school for loonies? Sora is no phsyco." I stepped up. "Oh no, this is a school for special kids, ones with special abilities." Mrs. Hirnleser looked a little more interested. "Go on." "My name is Laura Anderson. I am an empath which means I can read your emotions and interpret what they mean. I can also control them. The two behind me are Quinn Baker, and Sonny Jefferson." "The model?" Behind me Sonny flipped her blonde hair. "Yes, the model. They, like me, have special abilities. Miss Russo has been able to find out that Sora has them too. The school will teach us to control them." I put on my biggest little girl smile, and did my best big blue puppy dog eyes. Can we please come in?" Mrs. Hirenleser finally nodded. "Yes I suppose. I will get Sora. Come in." Quinn and Sonny grinned at me. "That was so cool! How'd you do that?" Quinn asked. Sonny grinned. "Ok psychic girl, I know you know. I simply used the puppy dog eyes and a little emotional jolt. Works every time." We giggled and followed Miss Russo in. "By the way did you know Miss Russo's name was Johana?" Sonny asked. I shook my head. "Nope." Mrs. Hirnleser went upstairs to go get Sora while the four of us waited at the table. Soon Sora walked in. It struck me as odd how much she looked like her mother. Same gray-gray eyes, same few freckles. The only difference was that Sora's hair was black while her mom's was brown. "Um, Mom, who are they?" Miss Russo explained the whole thing over again about the institute. We introduced ourselves and explained our powers for what seemed like the milionth time that day. "Wow, that's a lot to take in." Sora sat down and glanced at us, then at her mom. "Should I go?" Her mom nodded. "If it will help you learn to use your telepathy then why not?" Sora put on a perky face. "K! I'll go get packed!" She shot up the stairs and came back down thirty minutes later with two large suitcases and one medium-sized case. She smiled. "Ready to go!" I helped her put the cases into the limo with my three, Quinn's one, and Sonny's six. "So you can control emotions huh?" "Uh huh. Don't worry I don't do it on friends." She smiled but looked a little relieved. "Cool." She hugged her mom good-bye and then we were finally off the the Academy for Special Children.
Any idea's on a new name instead of NAME???

Oops! Sorry! I didn't see that you had posted!
(March 6, 2012 - 6:34 pm)
Hi! I've
only been here for a month, so you don't know me, but welcome back anyway.
Name:
Cassie Stoll
Description:
Average height, brown hair, black eyes, pale skin
Age: 16
Personality:
Sarcastic, quick temper, but is nice to people when she gets to know them more.
She's also really good at getting things when she wants them.
Powers: She
can move things without touching them and stop things from moving. She can also
sense all the things that move around her, even if they're miniscule. This
makes her good at reading micro-emotions.
History:
not much to say. She's pretty much a normal girl.
Cassie-
Slam!
"What
is it now?"my sister grumbled as I sat down on the edge of her bed."I
can't stand it anymore!" I was sick and tired of being thought of as a
weirdo. The kids at my school thought I was, my teachers thought I was, and so
did everyone else who knew what I could do. Only my parents and sister thought
of me as a normal person. My sister sighed. "I know, but there really is
nothing I can do about it" I glared at her. I had seen her quick look of
exasperation."Sorry, Cassie, but I can't talk right now. I'm busy." I
knew my sister had a lot of work getting ready for college, but she couldn't
even talk to me when I needed her? "Fine." I stomped out of her room
and into mine, flopping down on my bed. I waved my hand carelessly at the
curtains and they opened, letting light into the room. I stared out the window
at the empty street thinking about my bad fortune of a weird power. Then I sat
up jerkily. Wait a second! The street wasn't empty! A limo with dark windows
stood in front of my house.
I ran down
the stairs and into the living room, letting the door swing open without a
touch. In front of me sat a tall lady in a suit, three teenage girls (one of
whom I was sure I had seen before on TV) and my mom.
"Here she is now," my mother said noticing me. Everyone looked at me
with interest. "Who are you?" I blurted out.
"I am
Miss Russo. I'm here to take you to the Academy for special children."
"What, I'm 'special' now?" "Yes." "I'm not
mental, I assure you! I'm just as normal as you are." I eyed her.
"Then again, maybe I'm more normal." "No, no Cassie," my mom
hastened to explain, "she means with special talents." "Same
difference. They're all just different ways to say weird." One of the girls
looked offended and the temperature dropped several degrees. "I'm not weird!"
she exclaimed indignantly. "Oh, so sorry, are you special?" The girl
glared at me, but I saw a flicker of understanding cross her face. I decided I
would like her.
"Go
pack, Cassie. You're leaving now." "Now?!!!" "Yes,” my mother
said calmly. “You could have given me a day, at least!” “Sorry, Cassie, but I
forgot to tell you.” “Yeah right, you forgot,” I grumbled as I walked
away. “Talk about spur of the moment.”
An hour
later, I was in the limo on my way.
(March 5, 2012 - 8:45 pm)
Sorry about the ending. I really didn't know what to say. We can change the room set-up to one big bedroom instead of two separate ones if you want. :)
Sora Hirnleser-
As we drove down the highway, I took the time to check the minds of those around me.
First, I studied Sonny – yes, the Sonny from the Lola Magazine that I never had bothered to read. Maybe I shouldn’t have gone… Heidi Klum was going to be at the fashion week. She looked at her nail. OMG! I need a manicurist… This nail is chipped. Hopefully the others won’t notice. She glanced at me. Oh wait. They don’t have any fashion sense so they wouldn’t care. I decided I didn’t like Supermodel-Sonny one bit.
Next, Quinn. 17 x 17= 289, 18 x 18= 384… No, no! The temperature in the car sank a little. It’s 324. Better give up with the math facts. Then she started to stare out the window again.
And now, Laura. Wow, Mrs. Russo is really always upset. Even while not saying anything. Before I could listen to any more thoughts, my eyes got glazed over like they always did when I’m seeing into the future.
Laura ducks behind a wall, her face covered in pain. I hear footsteps echoing on the floor, running away. “Help-“ Her eyelids close and she sinks to the ground.
“Woah,” Laura exclaimed, looking at me. “You just got like an emotional overload. Weird.”
“Uh… Thanks?”
“No problem.” She laughed.
“Girls, I almost forgot, we have one more person to pick up.” Mrs. Russo looks into some sort of Planner, then leans over to the little screen separating us from the driver. “Ollie, 15th Street.”
“Yes, Ma’am!”
*
Cassie, that was the new girl’s name. She seemed rather annoyed even though I didn’t know why. Her thoughts really didn’t tell me much.
“Here we are, girls,” Mrs. Russo told us just before the limo stopped.
We were in the middle of a thick forest on top of a rather large hill. A large building was situated in the middle of a large cleared area. It was made from chocolate painted stucco and surrounded by an iron wall.
I noticed some teenagers roaming around on the grounds. A few looked over at the limo.
“Ollie, get someone to help you with the bags,” Mrs. Russo ordered. Then she turned to us. “I’ll show you to your rooms. You’ll get a full tour and official welcome with the others later.” She motioned for us to follow.
Room 115 was made up of one bathroom, a small hallway for shoes and coats and two bedrooms.
Sonny went into the bathroom. “There is so not enough space in there for my portable sauna. “
“Your portable what?!” Cassie cried.
“Sauna. A sweat lodge. It’s good for your pores.”
“I’m sure you’ll find another place to put it,” I said politely.
Sonny went into the left bedroom.
Quinn, Laura, Cassie and I exchanged glances.
“I guess I’ll share with Sonny,” Laura said as casually as possible. In reality she was thinking: I get to room with Sonny! Happy dance! Awesome!
Then she rushed in behind Miss Supermodel.
“I guess that leaves us three.” Quinn smiled.
“Yep!”
Cassie didn’t say a thing.
Our bedroom had three beds in a row, a green rug, a closet, a desk and a couch. The walls were white and boring.
We began to unpack.
(March 6, 2012 - 12:30 pm)
Huh, I don't know, maybe you should go with Laura because your character's name is Laura.
Quinn-
I picked the bed closest to the door so that if I happened to freak out I wouldn't melt the room, and so I would be able to get out easily if anything odd happened. "So, does anyone else think it's a little odd that Miss Russo happened to know exactly where to find us? Because I lived in a dump of an orphanage, I'm pretty sure that's not the first place you'd look for a superhero." Cassie and Sora exchanged glances. "I guess so," Sora said at last. Suddenly Miss Russo walked in. "Actually Miss Baker it's not odd at all considering I have a special way to tell if someone is superhuman or not. Plus the Academy has government connections. It's not that surprising at all." I felt my cheeks get hot. "Um, how did you-?" "You have my tricks and I have mine. Good day girls, I must go check on the other new students." I stared as she walked out. "What the heck did she mean by that?" Sora shrugged. "Security cameras?" "Better not be any in the shower," I grumbled. Cassie laughed and I grinned. Sora sat on the bed and started to unpack. "So, what was with that freak-out moment in the car?" She tensed. "What do you mean?" "Don't play innocent with me. I saw the eyes. What was it? Were you seeing into the future?" I asked, a little excited. She gave a small nodd. "Yes." "Cool, tell me what it was about!" Just then Laura walked in and flopped onto a bed. Sora looked relieved, but then she got a scared, worried look on her face when she looked at Laura. 5 minutes in a school for freaks and it's already weird. "Will someone swap with me?" Laura asked totaly deflated. "Why? Regretting joining little miss fashion show?" She gave a halfhearted laugh. "You have no idea. That girl has so many hair products I think I'm gonna suffocate in hair spray in the morning. Don't even get me started on her portable sauna!" We all laughed, then Sonny walked in. "Hey Laura, I need you to give me a manicure." "Why on Earth would I do that?" "Becuase you're my roommate?" Laura groaned, then grinned in a devilish way. Suddenly Sonny got a little too peppy. "You know what? Never mind! I'd much rather go draw happy faces and peace signs all over my notebook! Toodles!" I laughed hystericaly as Sonny left. "How did you do that?" Sora asked between laughs. Laura grinned. "I have my ways; now I'd better go before Miss Sunshine colors the walls." She giggled and left. I turned back to Sora looking serious. "Vision, now. I know it was about Laura. I saw the way you looked at her. You looked worried. What's going on?"
(March 6, 2012 - 6:53 pm)
Great idea ~Sam~! I'll do that.
Laura-
Rooming with Sonny was awesome, until about 5 minutes in. I tried to be nice but Sonny was just such a diva! So I sought out refuge in Quinn, Cassie, and Sora's room. I was there for about 5 minutes but the looks that Sora kept giving me were starting to freak me out so I went back into the room I shared with Sonny. "So, what's it like being a super model?" I asked excitedly. She gave me a, seriously? look and I shrugged. "I'm curious!" She rolled her eyes but sat down across from me on the bed anyway. She opened her mouth to speak when Miss Russo's voice came from the loud speaker. "New recruits, please join me in the gym." I exchanged a glance with Sonny. "Where's the gym?" we asked simultaneously. We both smiled and headed outside to find the others already waiting. They were just as surprised as me to see a holographic arrow pointing us in the right direction. When we got to the gym Miss Russo stood in the way. "I will send you all into 5 challenges. Each one specific to each person's ability. The other's will not be able to use their powers to help the one person who can. Only one person will be able to use their powers for their specific challenge. If they don't complete it you all die. Any questions?" None of us moved, we just stood in shocked silence. "Good, now go on. Laura, you're first." I swallowed hard as we moved into the gym. We found ourselves in a completely white room. A door opened and something came out. A lion, a very angry and hungry-looking lion. "Uh, Laura, do something!" Sonny shouted. "Right okay." I found I could read its emotions. I smiled. It was very hungry and angry, I could fix that. I concentrated hard and soon the lion relaxed. I strode over and petted it. It fell asleep at my touch. "Wow! I didn't know I could make people or animals fall asleep!" I grinned. Miss Russo's voice came over the loud speaker. "Good Laura, you passed with flying colors. Next is Quinn's turn!" Quinn swallowed hard. The floor fell out beneath us and while the lion didn't fall, we did. Right into a snowy, below zero wasteland. I was so cold I can't even begin to describe the temperature. It was worse than the Antarctic in the winter. "Q-Qui-Quinn! M-make it w-warmer!" Cassie shouted. Quinn smiled. "Why? It's such a nice temperature." "QUINN CHANGE THE TEMPERATURE!" Sonny shouted. "Fine!" Suddenly it started to get warmer, and warmer until I felt like I was in a sauna. "Quinn, too hot!" I shouted. She nodded and cooled it off a bit until the temperature was normal. "Good Quinn. Now Sora, your turn." "What do I do?" "You'd better figure out what's going to happen before your friends all die." "That's barbaric!" I shouted. "That's life." Came Miss Russo's monotone reply. Sora glanced at Quinn and pushed her to the left just before a huge weight fell right where she'd been standing. She told Sonny to jump. Good thing too, saw blades nearly cut her feet right off. She told Cassie not to move. If she had she would have been burned by lasers. Finally she looked at me. Something happened. "I can't, my earlier vision, it's interfering," she muttered. "Earlier vision?" What was she talking about? Her eyes got wide. "LAURA NO!" The floor gave way beneath me, luckily she pushed me out of the way just in time. I fell to the floor dazed. "What just happened?" I asked. Sora looked extremely worried. "Good Sora, though I want to discuss this vision with you later. Now, Sonny you're up." Sonny nodded. She managed to shut off a wall of flame and tell Quinn to shut up just before both things happened. I grinned. "That is so cool." She flipped her hair. "I know." "Cassie, now you." Rounds of bullets and flames shot at us going a hundred miles an hour. Cassie held up her hand and they all stopped. "That was so cool!" Quinn shouted. Cassie blushed. "Thanks." Suddenly came Miss Russo's voice. "Good, you all did well. Sora, see me. The rest of you go back to your rooms." I turned to Sora before she left. "I want to know what you saw," I muttered in a slightly scared voice. "I know." She agreed, then left out a door labled RUSSO. The rest of us went back to our rooms. Before I went inside I turned to Sonny, "What do you think she saw?" "I don't know but it can't be good." I gulped. "Gee, thanks a lot." She shrugged. "Just being truthful."

This sounds really cool!!
Name- Kayden Scheller
Physical Description- Tanned with wavy auburn hair and piercing blue eyes
Personality- she's sweet and a tad shy, but fun once you get to know her. Likes to debate things.
powers: Power Negation (can sense others people's powers and shut them down completely for as long as she wants)
History: Has had a pretty normal life, just discovered her powers a few years ago. Is usually downgraded by others with powers because she can't 'do' anything.
//Kayden//
A woman in a black dress stands in my doorway. She's a technopath, but that's all I can find out from her. My mother stands awkwardly to the side, rubbing her hands together as the woman and I silently stare at each other. Finally I break the silence. "What do you want with me?" "I'm here to take you to a school, Lupin's Acadamy for Special Children. I have sought you out and have decided to offer you a scholarship for two years." "But, I'm not 'special'. My name's Kayden Scheller, I'm fifteen and have lived a perfectly normal life, and you can't just take me away." "Oh, but we've all lived a 'normal' life. But it's what's, how you say, 'extra' about your life that we want." She pulls out a thin black cell phone from her pocket and holds it in her outstretched hand, smiling slyly. I simply blink in her direction and her entier power source crashes, but of course she doesn't realize it. She closes her hand and places the phone back in her pocket. "I see...we need children like you, you know what you are." She turns to mother. "Now, I am offering a full scholarship to your daughter to help train her in her power. Do you accept?" She nervously nods and I'm told to get my bags, and in a few minutes I'm in a slick black limousine heading of to Lupin's Academy for Special Children.
*
As soon as I enter the hallway I'm my veins are buzzing. There's too much power in here, too much for me to handle, so I turn it off. There, better. I stop shivering and hear screams down the hall. "Hey! Something's wrong, I. Can't. Do. ANYTHING!" I hear some brat yell from a doorway and smirk. I hear a door slam and a grunt. "Sonny! Sonny! It's okay! Please don't be mad!" "Laura, just give it up, she's a super model." A super model? "Try making it colder!" It won't work. "It isn't working! What am I thinking about?" It won't work. "Oh, uhm, tacos?" "No, I'm thinking about how my powers aren't working!" I step into the viewing perspective of the group of girls. "That's because of me." Instantly I'm confronted by angry power wielders. "Why would you do that?" comes from a lot of people, and I laugh. "I'm a power negator. That means I can turn your powers off, and on, at my will." "Well turn them back on!" "Fine." I do and the buzzing returns in my veins, causing me to shake up and down. "Just, let, me, sit, down. Too, much, power." Someone leads me to a bunk bed and I lie down. "Why are you shaking so much?" The bratty one, Sonny, I think, asks. "Be-be-because..." "Ah, just let her turn our powers off, just so she can talk." I turn them off an instantly the buzzing dies down. "I've never been near such a large supply of power before, so my body can't handle it. I have to turn it off or else..." "Or else what?" Laura, I think, asks. "Well, I think it happened to my uncle once. He went to a power convention or something and...he kinda exploded. Not big like, kaboom explode, just like disintergrate."

is it ok if my charrie was already at the school?
Name: Airlia (ER-lee-a)
Physical Description: medium/light brown skin; about 5 feet tall, long black-brown hair that seems alive (it moves when she's using her powers. It looks as if it's floating around in water because it moves real slowly) and eyes that are never the same color. depends on her mood and things like that. (i.e., red when she's mad, purple when happy, they shift randomly when she's confused)
Personality: like her eyes, her personality is variable. She has a bad temper and doesn't like it when people stare at her, and she's kind of the rebel. But if she eats a lot of sugar or gets really hyper, she's a giggle machine and is easygoing. Her eyes kinda give a clue to if she's eaten a lot of ice cream lately. XD
Powers: can see/go into other people's dreams (so she's a mind reader but only when the person she's reading the mind of is sleeping.) X) and she can control people's dreams if she tries really hard but it exhausts her.

@Airlia- Ya that's fine
Laura-
I stared at the girl for a minute. "Could you please like, not do that?" "It's not by choice." "Kay then. So, what's your name?" I asked. "Kayden." "Okay, well I'm Laura, this is Sonny, Quinn, and Cassie." I explained our powers yet again. "Cool, so emotion reader?" I nodded. She turned the powers back on and immediately looked woosy. "Okay, let's just go to your room so that you'll stop being, uh, woosy." I led her to my and Sonny's room. I turned to Miss Russo. "Yes, she will room with you and Miss Jefferson." Then she turned to leave. "Now I must talk to Miss Hirnleser." I cringed. "Right. Can you tell me-?" "No, that is Miss. Hirnleser's job." I nodded. "Okay." Then she left. Sonny and I helped Kayden unpack. Kayden was feeling very shy and a little overwhelmed. "You can relax you know. We're not gonna hurt you." She was surprised, then understood. She muttered something I didn't quite hear. "Sorry, I didn't hear you, what was that?" I didn't need to be an empath to know she was embarassed. "N- nothing." "Ok. Never mind then." She nodded and turned to put away her clothes. Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned to see a short girl with hair that seemed to be, alive. "Wow! That is so cool!" I shouted. She seemed annoyed. "Ya, I know!" she snapped. I was taken back. "Um, okay and you are?" "Airlia. I'm supposed to show you newbies around," she said while rolling her eyes. "Ok then I'll get the other girls." I stared at her oddly. Sonny and Kayden started to follow us when Airlia stopped. "Wait, Laura, Miss Russo wants you in her office. Something about a Sora Hirnleser?" I darted off in the direction of the arrows. When I came to the door that had a plaque that read RUSSO I marched in. "What's going on?" I asked. Sora turned in her chair to look at me. Her eyes were slightly red like she'd been crying and there were waves of emotion coming from her. All ranging in guilt to worry to fear to saddness. It was messing up my head. I grasped my head and sat down. "Wow, that's some major emotion, what happened?" That's when Sora explained her vision. I listened to it all. When she was finished I was silent. "So what you're saying is, I'm going to die?"

The italics are people's thoughts.
Sora Hirnleser-
Mrs. Russo sat down at her desk, clasping her hands together and placing them neatly in front of her. “So, Miss Hirnleser, this vision…?”
I studied her long, pale pink nails, not wanting to look her in the eyes.
“Sora,” she leaned forward in her chair. “It’s quite important that you tell me exactly what this vision was about. It has something to do with Laura.”
I inhaled shakily and pressed my fist against my mouth. Tears came to my eyes and I blinked quickly, but one little teardrop escaped and ran down my nose.
You might be wondering, why I was being so emotional and wasn’t just telling Mrs. Russo about the vision, but after seeing people’s futures things change for me. Usually when it’s something serious, I get so upset that I can’t even concentrate on that person’s mind anymore. In Laura’s case, this was happening.
Do I have to press it out of her?! “Okay, Sora, it’s important that I know this. If you stay quiet, there’ll be consequences.” Something about the edge in her voice, forced it out of me.
“…And then she slumped to the floor.” I ended and began to cry.
Mrs. Russo leaned back. “Good you told me.”
Suddenly a small voice started to get louder in my mind. Laura. Finally, I’ll find out… Hopefully it’s not bad… But it will be.
“What’s going on?”
I turned around in my chair to face her.
Her eyes got wide and she grasped her head as if it was hurting. “Wow! That’s some major emotion, what happened?”
I pursed my lips. Maybe I didn’t have to say anything.
Mrs. Russo cleared her throat loudly, basically saying I should get on with it. So I told Laura.
She didn’t say anything for a moment, her sharp eyes darting around in their sockets. “So what you’re saying is, I’m going to die?”
“I-I really don’t know if-if you fainted or…” I couldn’t say the word.
“Let’s hope I fainted. Wow, I never knew how hard it was to know a mind reader.” The way she spat out the words was hurtful and I started to cry again.
Suddenly happiness burst out all over my body. Laura! “Stop-it-now.” I said through clenched teeth, while attempting to withstand the urge to be happy.
She sighed and then I was feeling glum again.
“I guess that’s all?” She shot Mrs. Russo a questioning look.
“You two may go.”
As soon as we walked out, Laura turned on me. “So, do you predict everyone’s deaths?”
“I-I can’t control-“
“Yeah, yeah sure. Whatever. I really don’t care.”
This ended the conversation.
