The Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games. Excellent books. I couldn't get over them for weeks.
Soo...
What does everybody think about the upcoming movie? What do you think of the actors and actresses?
Peeta: He might be O.K (not what I wanted though).
Gale: HUGE dissapointment. I cannot describe how furious I am. I mean really? They had to pick Miley Cyrus's boyfriend and co-star of The Last Song?
Katniss: I think they did a pretty good job picking her out. Not so sure though. Guess we will see...
Prim: I'm glad they got an unknown actress to play her. Personally I think they should have gotten unknown actresses for all the parts, because then they aren't type casted. She appears to fit the part.
I wish they weren't making a movie though. It's just not the same as in my head.
I don't even think I will be allowed to watch it. It's definitley going to be rated R, and I can only go up to PG-13. What about you guys? Think you'll be allowed to watch it?

I'm a major THG fan and have been lurking on a bunch of fansites. Gary Ross, the director, said the movie would be rated PG-13, which I'm allowed to watch.
I don't really like the choice for Gale too. But I haven't really seen him act, I'm just judging him by the fact that he was in the Last Song so... but I think the choice for Katniss is okay. And it's better that she's older than Katniss rather than younger. Oh, and I've seen the [trailers of some] movies she's in. She looks like a good actress. And Peeta looks like a good actor too.
Apparently they already filmed the Reaping seen, but they still haven't casted Madge! I think they wrote her out. :(

TOP! :)

My sister and I are kinda in love with Hosh Hutcherson... so we're hoping he'll be good. :D I'll be allowed to see it, the question is IF I want to see it. I know I'll watch it at home, but in theaters... we'll see. I saw a pick of the actress playing Katniss completely in the "Katniss" outfit and she looked great. I'm very happy that I've never heard of her before. I really wanted Haymitch to be Sean Bean for some reason, so I'm disappointed with that. Gale, eh, he might be pretty good. I think Rue looks adorable..... which isn't good because it'll be such a sad scene! :(

I did really like the books but there doesn't seem to be a way to do the movie as anything but R. I mean there some major stuff in there. I don't think I will want to go see it. It will be a huge dissapointment.
It always bothered me how none of the actors for any movies from books ever look like their characters. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to either find somebody who looks like that person or make the person you have look like the character.
I would really like it if Katniss in the movie was small and had black hair and grey eyes but apparently she is probably not going to fit in with any of those.
I wonder what the music is going to be like thought and what they are going to do for all those costumes like the one that Katniss and Peeta wear on the chariots.

I know some people who got cast as extras.

I'd better be able to see it... cause my mom read the books and wants to see it too!!!

Danny Elfman is writing the score. He also composed the scores of Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton one), Terminator Salvation, Milk, and Meet the Robinsons. He was also nominated for 4 Oscars: Best Original Dramatic Score (Good Will Hunting), Best Original Musical or Comedy Score (Men in Black), and 2 Best Original Score awards (Big Fish and Milk). He's also been nominated for 12 Grammy awards and he won one. :)

Seriously?! I am so watching this movie now. Danny Elfman is amazing.

That sounds great! Well, then, I'll get the soundtrack whether I watch it or not. I won't be allowed to watch it if it's rated R, but I sort of hope it is, anyway, because if it isn't, it won't be true to the books, and it won't be very good.

T Bone Burnett will be writing THG score with Danny Elfman. Apparently, Burnett's a 12-time Grammy winner. Is he good at writing music?
