Dance. You got
Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
Dance. You got
Dance. You got to love it.
I take dance (jazz (a dance that is like hip-hop but toned down.)) And today was our dress rehersal. Friday is one show and Saturday is the other show. We have a theme each year for our shows and this year it is I Love New York. I love the theme.
I have been taking dance for eight years.
What type of dance do you take, and how many years have you been dancing?
Yes, I love watching it and really admire people who do it! I don't take dance, but I love watching "So You Think You Can Dance" on TV. The contestants are all outstanding, amateur dancers—very talented and versatile! They're all so good, it will be hard to watch the elimination shows.

Today is the second performance! I am so excited!
Last night went really well so I am thinking about taking another dance too.
Have fun, Choco! I won't say that common saying often wished to people about to go on stage!

Thanks Admin! Why won't you say the saying that is often wished to people about to go on stage?
Because it's "Break a leg!" And I don't want you--or anyone--to do that! Especially not a dancer!

I have never taken a dance lesson of any kind but I love to dance. Your dance sounds really fun. I have always liked jazz.
All my siblings have or are taking ballroom dance and the older ones sort of started a trend for our homeschol group so now about half of them take ballroom dance from that teacher.

Right now, I'm doing ballet and tap. And the first of two recitals is tomorrow. I'd say I'm excited, but really, my mind is more occupied with stressing over my piano exam which is two days after my second recital... yeah.
Anyways, I tried doing ballet when I was three, but I didn't really like it, so I quit. I started doing tap when I was seven I think, then after two years of it, I stopped and did jazz and ballet. The year after that, which is now I think, I'm doing ballet and tap. :)

I take English Country Dancing. Well, I was before Summer. Our team actually performed at a Rennaissance Festival twice. I really want to do Irish dancing, though! There's going to be an Irish camp where you can learn about Irish food, dance, culture, et cetera. I hope I can go!
We know a lady who tried out for 'You Think You Can Dance'. She didn't make it, though.

The competition for SYTYCD is really tough! So very many great dancers!

Oh! A teacher at my old dance school auditioned for SYTYCD. I don't think she made it though...

I take tap. I used to take ballet. I also took jazz for many years. We don't have a theme for the whole show, but we have themes for groups of dances. I was in a south of the border scene this year.

I do creative dancing classes. It's a whole variety of dances meshed together. Like you can do whatever dance move they show you from whatever type of dance and use it to make something fum and unique yet beautiful. I actually had a performance last Tuesday. We did 4 songs. 9 To 5 by Dolly Parton, Play that Funky Music by Wild Cherry (or Black Cherry, I cannot remember) Wade in the Water by Adele, I think, and Southern Man by Neil Diamond or Neil Young. It was super fun.

I know this is a little late, but good luck Choco! I just now got around to seeing this thread. Hope it went well!
Oh, and Admin. My English teacher said that for dancers, instead of 'Break a Leg!', it's a French saying that I don't remember. *goes on Google* It is a word in French, but it means a bad word in French, so I won't say it. But I guess that they think that wishing you good luck would bring bad luck. So that's why they're negative. So I won't say it.
Thanks for the info. I just knew I didn't want to say "Break a leg."
