And the Oscar

And the Oscar

And the Oscar goes to.......

Has anyone seen any Oscar nominated movies?? I want to go see all the Best Picture nominated movies that are appropriate. So far I've seen True Grit, The King's Speech and Toy Story 3, and I have Inception, 127 Hours, and The Social Network on my list. The King's Speech was brilliant beyond words. Colin Firth did an incredible job with the stammer and slight lisp of King George VI. And Geoffrey Rush was evening more amazing, if that's possible. *sigh* I love British actors.

I've seen Toy Story 3 (brilliant) and Inception (not so brilliant and confusing). For a few other less-publicized categories, I've seen Alice in Wonderland (meh, HBC and Depp were good though) and Iron Man 2. And I'll be watching Tron once it's on DVD. (if it isn't already)

Iron Man 2 was good, but Toy Story 3 sucked :p

Hey, you need to back up those negative opinions! Why did you not like TS3? I personally thought it was the best yet. (...And so. much. creepier.)

I know, right! Remember that scene with the baby sleeping on the swing...in the moonlight... and then she turns around...with a creepy look on her face...about to catch the toys who are running away!

Why do the keep making new Toy Stories? I mean the 1st one was great. Isn't that enough. Toy Story 3 didn't seem that good.

Hi ZNZ! We're on at the same time!

I heard Colin Firth did good in that.  My grandma ADORED that movie. I could totally see Colin Firth as that king, because, well, he always has stuttered, in every movie I've seen him in.  Which is alot. I've seen Toy Story 3, and didn't particularly like it.  My parents said I should see True Grit, because they enjoyed it.  And I want to watch Inception, because, well, I like the main actor. :)

I thought TS2 was the best one, but that's just my opinion.

@R~D~:My sister has seen Inception, and she says it was really good. (She likes Leo Decaprio, too.)

I've seen Inception! It's really good the first two times you see it, but by the third viewing you start actually thinking about all the plot holes... (I know this because I saw it in the theater, saw it with my mom on DVD, and saw it again at a homeschool highschool party a week later. :P)

It is a good movie overall though, and Leo does a good job.

I really like Toy Story, I haven't seen the second one, and thought Toy Story 3 was okay. I didn't mind watching it, but I thought it went on a bit long for the plot it had.

The Social Network is about Facebook and its supposed beginnings. It's not something I desperately want to see, but some people would like it.

@ Brynne Oh, I think I know that...(The Social Network) That sounds (sorry) kind of boring...

@ RD  What happens in the 2nd Toy Story? Is it the one with the barbie dolls?
