Countdown to the

Countdown to the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (HP7)!

54 more days today (Sunday). So I just thought maybe every day until HP7 comes out, everybuggy (well, just everybuggy who's into Harry Potter) can post a favorite Harry Potter related memory in their life, or just talk about what's been going on in your day. So yeah. Hope that made sense.

(There's a new HP7 commercial on the Harry Potter website. It's EPIC.)

Butterbeer! I had some at a local HP festival and loved it.

Ok, so the movie was, in my opinion, the best of them all. I was very impressed at how they stuck to the book. (Of course, they did take out some stuff and throw in a few things.) There were even some parts where they went word-for-word with the book.  It was definitely darker than the other movies, though.  The only thing was, they blew through the beginning of the book SO FAST: Transferring Harry to the Burrow,*poof* the wedding, *poof* attack at the diner, *poof*, Grimmauld Place, *poof*, infiltrating the Ministry, *poof* the Forest of whazzit called, *poof* on and on and on! Oh, and speaking of infiltrating the Ministry, you know how, in the book, Harry uses Polyjuice Potion to disguise himself and his friends? Ok, well in movie, the potion wore off while they were at the Ministry, so here's Harry, walking through the Ministry as his normal self. It was just pure insanity! I mean, he was as inconspicuous as a man walking through an airport carrying a crate that said "Explosives" in big letters. Then there was this weird Harry/Hermione thing going on throughout the movie that kind of annoyed me. At least it ended when Ron returned after bailing on them. The scene where Ron destroyed the locket-Horcrux was.......odd, to say the least, and a bit unnecessary. So, that's all I'm going to tell you about it; now you need to go see it for yourselves!!!

Hahaha, you're totally right about Harry at the Ministry when the Polyjuice potion wore off.  That's exactly what I thought.

Yesterday was the most epic day of my life...  My brother's girlfriend surprised me with a ticket to go see the premier of the movie with her and my brother and their friends.  It was amazing.  Hahaha, during a preview, when the announcer guy said "by the director of Twilight," everyone in the theater started laughing; I finally found a place where I fit in!  While we were waiting for it to start, everyone in the row in front of me started singing AVPM/S songs!  I wanted to give them hugs.  But really, the movie was amazing, and followed the books relatively well (at least, better than some of the movies did. They still left a ton out and changed a few things, but that's expected).  The only part that bothered me was that they left out the whole part about Dumbledore's family.

I'm going to see it again in a couple hours. :D

Here's another quote, just because I like them: "Cool, sir!"

@ ZNZ: Me, too, definitely. I can't wait to learn all the things thar weren't said in just the series, if it is written.

Aetc says  yeae. I can't really tell, but I think he's agreeing!

Random Gryffindor (can't remember who, grrggh) to Lupin in PA, after Lupin shot the gum up Peeves' nose.

SBC says rrwn. The LotR part of my brain wants to interpret that as Arwen.

Right! Since no-one else is guessing, it was Dean Thomas.
