Eat a banana before you go, Laura. The potassium in it is supposed to calm you down. You have practiced and should be confident that you can give a good performance. Think of it as just another practice at home. Best wishes!

Well, I wrote about it somewhere, though I'm not sure where, so I'll give you a brief run-through.  The lights went out as my friend started singing, and it was an electric synthesizer, so we were kinda stuck, but then my teacher had a regular piano.  It was not in the best condition, one of the main keys isn't working, but we all did really well anyway.  Well, sort of.  OK, not so great, because we all did a lot of mess ups.  But our voices were really clear, and our diction (pronunciation) was good.  I actually didn't shake!!!!!  So THANK YOU, OLD CRICKET!!!!!!!!!!!  So then the one time I actually sang reasonably well (everybuggy says I was the best I've ever been.  HA HA, yah right), MY CAMERA RAN OUT OF BATTERY POWER!!!!!!  So, now we have a bunch of terrible videos from the past, and NONE, of this years.  Hmm...  I worked really hard on Think of Me from the Phantom of the Opera, so I'm kinda sad about that.  But oh well, too late.  :)  Thanks to all.   :)  Even though most of you didn't even see this, I am just thanking you for being such wonderful friends.  :)

When I play the piano in front of people, my face and hands turn red (I know, that's so weird), my hands shake like mad, I start to sweat, my hands get slippery, I feel like I'm on fire inside, sometimes iInearly start crying, and sometimes ruin the whole piece altogether. I know! My dad once made me sing a song I made up in front of all my relatives. (Well, I actually did not make up the song, just the lyrics. I like to change the lyrics in songs, normally to gruesome, disgusting things, but in this case it was just about my brainy cousin.) I love to compose anti-Barney (the loco purple dinosaur, Barney) songs with my cousins. My favorite one is called "Barney Obese" instead of "Fur Elise." I probably should not write down the lyrics or this message might not be posted.  (It's not THAT bad, really.) It just might be too intense for Barney Lovers on this website.
