Coldplay!!!!!!!!

Anyone else here a huge Coldplay fan? I have listened to pretty much all of their songs and own several of the albums, and every one of the big hits (except for The Scientist and Yellow).

1) Fix You -- GREATEST SONG EVER! This got me through my entire, and rather depressing, sixth grade year.

2) Viva la Vida -- AMAZING STRINGS RIFF. 'Nuff said. The lyrics are awesome too.

3) Clocks -- LOVE THE PIANO! Thank you Coldplay for reintroducing the piano to popular music.

4) Violet Hill -- WOW. True rock, something of a rarity in Coldplay, but they put their own alt twist on it and made it incredible.

5) Speed of Sound -- I'M LOVIN' IT, even though I can't figure out what it's about (and, apparently, neither can anyone else).

6) Talk -- AWESOME ELECTRIC GUITAR. One of the best examples of their semi-minimalist style.

7) The Scientist -- LOVELY ACOUSTIC. Chris Martin doesn't do a lot of primarily acoustic tracks, but the ones that he does -- Till Kingdom Come, Lost?, and The Scientist -- are masterpieces.

8) Strawberry Swing -- AWESOME MUSIC VIDEO! Find it on YouTube. Plus the song is just an all-around modern classic.

9) Lovers in Japan -- OMG SYNTHESIZER LINE! I listen to this one over and over again, never get bored.

10) Life in Technicolor ii -- REALLY GOOD REMIX! The original was great. The one released on the Prospekt's March EP album was amazing.

First person to get this gets... I don't know... the honor of having gotten it first! What is the whole Viva la Vida album about?

Coldplay fans, please drop in!

Hey! :) I really like Coldplay too! I haven't listened to them for quite a while, but their music is so great, and I love the words to their songs! Oh, and I especially love songs when they have the piano in them-not many bands include the piano lately! :) Cool thread!

When I came onto PP and saw this thread I immediately clicked on it.  And as I type this, I listen to Violet Hill.  I love that song...  :)  Fix You is my all time favourite song by Coldplay.  I first heard it while old 70 year old people were singing it, but then I looked it up on YouTube and started listening to Coldplay, and then I started loving it from then on...  The unofficial music video for Violet Hill, 'dancing politicians' is hilarious.  The Trouble music video is very similar to Strawberry Swing, but Strawberry Swing is much more...  amazing.  :)

I know that when I post this, it will be sent to the bottom, but I'll bring it to the top later, because I love Coldplay.  :)

Kimmie's and my posts are two minutes apart!  :)  I forgot to say that I know some of Clocks on piano...  When I played it while my friend was at my house, his mom told me that their family loved it, and then after I stopped his little brother told me how much he loved Clocks and told me to play it, then "bum bum bum"ed the tune while I was playing Clocks.  He was so adorable.  When he says, "Play that song!" everyone knows what he's talking about...

I am happy to train him.  And my sisters.  And my mom, who also liked Clocks, but somehow always called it wheels, until I taught it to her.  :)

I wish I had an album...  I should look for one somewhere.  My music-playing device for Coldplay is Youtube, and I would rather it be another kind of music-playing device...  Like a CD player, or whatever its called.  Haha, I don't ever know the names for music-playing devices.  I'll just call them music-playing devices, as I have before.  I also call floaties 'floatation devices', because I like the word 'device'. And 'floatation' sounds interesting...

I'll stop rambling now, before it becomes a long post about helicopters, and post this.  :)

Even if you got an album, you'd have to get a musical device in order to hear it... But wait, I thought you listened to the LGW soundtrack? How could you do that without a musical device?

Anyway, no, I've never listened to Coldplay, but I've actually been considering doing so for quite a while... I'll see if I ever get around to it.

I do have a music-playing device, seeing as my father is obsessed with music, and so I wouldn't have any trouble with that...  Youtube is my musical device for LGW, and I have asked my parents multiple times if they would buy it, because I do not have an account for buying things on the internet, and it isn't in any stores, because is it only sold on the internet (or so I have read...) so I cannot get it, sadly.  I have told them that I would pay them back, but they still say they will think about it, and I am left to wait another week, so I can ask them again.  But I think that Coldplay soundtrakcs are sold in non-internet stores (like target, walmart {I hate wal-mart, actually...}, etc.), and it would be very possible for me to get one at target, because I have an unused twenty dollar target gift card I got two years ago.  But I won't be getting that anytime soon, because I am not one for shopping, and I don't get out much, because I don't like people (I do like people, just usually I don't like to go in public places...  where people are at.  it makes me feel stuffy), and I am homeschooled, so I really don't have to go out into the world...

That was longer than I thought it would be...

Watch the Lost+, Strawberry Swing, and Life in Technicolor II videos on YouTube. Look for the HD versions from parlophone or ColdplayTV.

Yes...  iTunes!  I was going to get it sometime, once I get an iPod.  I would also get the album, download that onto iTunes, then put it on an iPod...  So then I can listen to it on two (or is it three?) different music-playing devices...  :)

Ok! I will now, seeing as I have free access to the computer without anyone telling me to get off of it...  I was actually watching Strawberry Swing before this, and am listening to it now...  It is amazing, I wonder how long it took to animate all of that... :)

It's a wonderful video and the most complicated they've done so far, as I read somewhere. And I thought Life in Technicolor II was hard to do...

Life in Technicolor II did look like it was difficult to do.  I think it was cool how the puppet stage grew...   :)  It was very interesting to watch!  It would be fun to direct a music video...
