Sooo I've always liked photography and owned several cheap little point and shoot cameras, but I never really took it too seriously. But the other week, I went with my parents to Peaks Island, which is an island off of Portland (one of the only islands that has residents 365 days a year). Out of the 93 photos I took on my parents camera (my last point and shoot died), I actually got two that I actually like. I'll try to post them.
ugh the quality's not good. They ARE good on my computer, though. I guess BlogSpot decided to make them gross looking.
Anyway, I was happy with the [better quality] photos, so I decided to buy a [better quality] camera for this summer. But since I'm kinda broke right now (I used all the money I've saved since I was little to buy myself a MacBook! yay!), I'm not getting an SLR or anything. Instead, I'm getting the Canon PowerShot SX20. :) I'm happy.
Anyway, would y'all like to talk about your cameras and post pictures? Where's your favorite place to take pictures (I like the Old Port in Portland, which kinda like a cool old city... Idk, Google a picture of it. Brick buildings and roads, everything's brick)?

To post your own pictures, you first have to post them on a third-party website (like Blogger), then copy and paste them onto Chatterbox.

We should put up pictures of ourselves (if your comfortable) so we can see each other
This is one really inspiring picture, but I'd like to point out that I don't own it. It's one of the samples that your computer comes with. I'll post some of my own as soon as I find my other SD card. I could've sworn I put it in my case!
I'm sorry, Cherry, but we don't post any pictures of any people on Chatterbox.

Okay, I won't, Admins! :D
*takes Admin's advice* Can someone explain how you guys post pictures up here? I'm not very tech-savvy. :)

I just copy and paste, but I don't think mine actually showed up. (did it) All I see is the box with an X in the corner.

Does anyone do stop action animation? It's where you take a picture of something then move the object a little bit and each time you move the object you take a picture. It's really fun and I just found a good free down loadable software. It's called SAM animation and tufts developed it.

I've made a couple stop motion movies before. They're pretty cute. I don't think I've ever made one longer than maybe two minutes, though. My current camera's having issues, though, so I haven't made any recently.

Stop motion! I love doing stop motion. It's so fun.
Anyway.. I have a Canon Powershot something. I like it. It's pretty good. Does great wildlife pics, and video as well.

Stop motion is a wonderful thing. *nods* But I like making my own animated videos using MS Paint and Windows Movie Maker even more.... :) My theme is usually Warrior Cats...to a song...Like an animated music video with cats. :) But I do other things, too. ;) Does anyone else do this? *has inspiration* Ooh! I know! Maybe I'll make a thread explaining how to do it!

I used to make them all the time when I had a PC, but now that I have a Mac, I'm still trying to figure out how to use iMovie. :/ And oh yes, you should make a thread about it!
