Chatterbox: Pudding's Place

A few slightly random reviews that I don't want to make separate threads for...

1. Percy Jackson. I saw the movie last weekend, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, the soundtrack was... atrocious... (I'd known Tik Tok and Poker Face would be there, but they made it worse by having that horrible ACDC song, Highway to Hell) but there was the occasional hilarious line ("I know... It's like high school, without the musical!"). The whole Poseidon-talking-to-Percy thing was a little weird (Go to the water...) but most of the actors were really good. The guy from National Treasure made an excellent Zeus.

2. The Corpse Bride. I recently watched that (see "unknown" thread on CaC), and it was very sweet. Creepy, of course, but sweet. I totally freaked out when in the forest scene, HBC/Emily was like "I do"... That made me jump. :) There were also amusing lines in this... "Surely you must like each other, just a bit?" "Certainly not!", "With these hands, I will cup your... oh goodness, that isn't it at all!", and the songs were quite good. But yes, anyway, I loved it.

3. A Very Potter Musical. Today I watched a tiny bit of it, and also looked up all the lyrics. It's hilarious. XD But someone has waaay too much time. ;)

4. West Side Story. We're watching it in movie club (*headdesk* Mros *headdesk* poor Jbif is ready to shoot someone), and it's so awwww-inducing and the music is amaing. Regina and I <3 it.
