Heh, sorry to
Heh, sorry to make ANOTHER thread in PP, but I can't stop... Besides, there's some threads on the front PP page from like Oct. and Nov. Truly sad.
Anywaaay, I wanted to ask y'all what your favorite musicians/bands were. I know I asked you a long time ago (like maybe November, 2008? Ik that ppl like TMFA were still on here), but mine have changed much since then. Actually, I have a new favorite almost every week, so here's me recent ones:
I like Jon Foreman (favorites: "House of God, Forever", annnd "Broken from the Start"), Sufjan Stevens (favorites: "Casimir Pulaski Day", and "Chicago", and "The Seer's Tower"), Regina Spektor (favorites: "Fidelity", and "Samson", and "The Call"), and Noah And The Whale (favorites: "2 Atoms In A Molecule", and "Jocasta", and "Shape Of My Heart", and "5 Years Time"). Oh, and I like Marie Moreshead; look up her song "Take Me to Italy" on iTunes. I guess she's from Portland (Maine); I think Clay might know her...
Anyway, I just gotta Regina Spektor writes the prettiest music in the world. Haha, not all of her lyrics are "appropriate", but it's still pretty... I have the sheet music to "Samson" on the piano, but I actually have it memorized (which is a surprise, considering I'm the world's worst memorizer...). And I have the sheet music to "The Call". I can sing them both, but my gosh, I'd never do that in front of people... Haha :)
So yeah, what I was trying to ask is who your favorite musicians/bands are. :)

Oh yes! I remember that thread! That was where I first met you! Currently, I like the Beach Boys, Paul Simon, and Tenth Avenue North. I went to see Mercy Me (where did they come up with a name like that?) in concert in November, and I like them slightly better than I did now.
I also like all those oldies songs from the 50's. :)

Aww, good memory thread! Certain threads like that I hope the Admin never delete, because they're where I met people like you! Like I remember on which threads I met Emily L., and Kimberly, etc. :)
Good music, too. None of my friends have even heard of any of the oldies musicians (don't ask how... my "friends" are pretty lame sometimes...), but I know like all the words to a ton of the songs. :D

I adore Regina Spektor and Sufjan Stevens. Also: The Shins, Travis, Passion Pit, Andrew Bird, and The Arcade Fire. I refuse to put anything on my ipod but happy songs, 'cause sad music makes me sad. *sad face* I also like the Wicked soundtrack, but that is not on my ipod yet...I'm off to do that!

Haha, I have like every band/musician you just listed; except for Travis...? That really just made me happy.
