I'm looking for

I'm looking for some new music. My favourite genre is pop, preferably something with a Taylor Swift feel. And I'd like... idk what to call it exactly, like more recent music, if that makes sense.

Aha. You want to try Martina McBride, my friend. I've often thought that Taylor Swift fans would love her music. Some of her best songs are "Ride," "I Love You," "This One's for the Girls," "Wild Angels," and "Love's the Only House." I love how her songs range over a variety of topics; they're not just rehashed romantic songs. They're also just really great from a musical point of view :)

Beyonce has a new song, "Jolene" - I haven't listened to it but maybe you'd like it? Being Beyonce and all :)

Maybe you could try Clairo? Her music is very pop-y and reminds me a bit of another singer you said you liked (whose name I cannot at the moment remember).

"Rayando el sol" by Mana is really good, possibly more of a rock song than a pop song but still

and CARLOS BAUTEEEEE try "Te Regalo" or "Amarte bien"!!

oh, and "Adelante" by Naiara! It's not ultra Taylor-Swift-like, but it's great.

"Racing to a Red Light" by Katharine Appleton is a little bit like Taylor Swift's earlier music, I would recommend that one

I think that's all! Hope you like some of these :D

hi! :D here's some music recs~

Lizzy McAlpine!! one of my top artists at the moment :D her music feels very similar Taylor Swift's - the lyricism is so beautiful and storytelling, and there's so much emotion. sonically, it's probably the most similar to evermore and folklore? idk, it feels kind of indie and folk-y. i recommend "ceilings," "an ego thing," "doomsday," "orange show speedway," and "Apple Pie" :)

Lorde isn't exactly like Taylor Swift, but a lot of Swifties also love her music :D probably the most similar to reputation? but not exactly. anyway, the lyricism is really strong, and it's just instantly unique and memorable. some of my favorites are "Royals" (probably her most well-known song), "400 Lux," "A World Alone," "The Louvre," "Supercut," and "Fallen Fruit"

HAIM was featured on "no body, no crime," so you might be familiar with them - i don't listen to a ton of their music, but i still think it's great! i recommend "The Wire," "Gasoline," "Now I'm In It," and "Summer Girl."

to be fair, i've barely listened to Gracie Abrams, but she's releasing a new album soon with a track featuring Taylor Swift, so she's probably worth a listen! i've only listened to "Risk" so far, but i really like it! it's catchy :)

Lyn Lapid is another great artist :D feels very summer-y, if that makes sense? my favorite songs are "The Outsider," "In My Mind," "I Guess That Was Goodbye," "east side," and "the alternative" :D

seconding Clairo! she also has a new album coming out soon, so that's fun :D feels very chill and soft and kind of like...floaty? airy? idk the word but yeah XD the vocals are also really pretty :) i recommend "North," "Sofia," "Amoeba," "Zinnias,"  and "Pretty Girl" :)

that's all i have for the moment! hope you like some of these :D lmk if you ever need any more song recs~

One of my favorite music artists is thefatrat, as weird as it sounds, his's music is really good. It's not like T.S, but is like elctro, but not heavy metal. It makes you feel moved, and it's very good. My favs are Myself and I, Hiding in the Blue, and Rise Up.

Contemporary pop feel, got it!

Try Olivia Rodrigo if you haven't yet! She draws a lot of inspiration from Taylor Swift.

Beach Bunny!! Try "Cloud Nine" and "Good Girls (Don't Get Used)" as well as "Deadweight" which are my personal faves~

mxmtoon! I'm a casual mxmtoon listener and I don't know many of her songs but I like "Prom Dress" and "Falling For U." Hex recommended me some of her songs a while back and I liked every sing one (I just can't remember all of the titles :,))

I love Clairo (SO HYPED FOR THAT THIRD ALBUMMM!!) so I'm seconding (thirding?) that! She's an indie pop artist. "Sofia" is my favorite song :D

And I'm seconding Lyn Lapid as well! She's a great artist also considered indie pop!

Also seconding Lorde, who's beloved by Swifties as pangolin said.

And here's some individual songs to try:

"Boyfriend" (Teagan & Sara)

"Are You Bored Yet?" (Wallows feat. Clairo)

"love of your life" (AVIV)

"Dizzy" (chloe moriondo feat. Alfie Templeman and Thomas Headon)

"Dog Days Are Over" (Florence + The Machine) - Florence appeared on Taylor's song "Florida!!!" She has a really strong voice!

seconding Clairo

seconding mxmtoon (I don't remember recommending songs to Peri though lol), I like 'victim of nostalgia,' 'frown,' and 'quiet motions' although the ones Peri mentioned are good too

seconding(?) Gracie Abrams, although the only title I remember off the top of my head is 'I know it won't work like that'

maybe you'd like Noah Kahan? he has a more folk-y feel but some of the songs I like are 'Stick Season,' 'Busyhead,' and 'Forever'

also you might like Troye Sivan who sings pop, I like 'HEAVEN,' YOUTH,' and 'Touch'

- fourthing Lyn Lapid -- my favorite song ever is i guess that was goodbye, but she has a LOT of really good songs! :) actually, I think you'd like back from the dead by Lyn Lapid feat. mxmtoon (squeal! :P)!!!!!!

- seconding TheFatRat (my favorites are Pride & Fear and Hiding in the Blue, both featuring RIELL I think) although yeah it's not pop I think?

- thirding mxmtoon SHE'S MY FAVORITE ARTIST YES (favorites are Prom Dress like Peri said, and Frown like Hex said is stuck in my head rn and it's sooo good (ofc!) and I'm stopping myself right there because YUPP (I recommend all her songs :) ))

Yeah, the world's got its worries, life's got us all in a hurry, stuck in a loop overthinking all of our pain...

it's okay to frown!

smile upside down,

I'm feeling kinda blue like the sky right now,

No way! (no way!)

we're gonna work it out

it's a feeling that I'm having and I'm gonna have it right now

it commes, and goes away

in timeee, my scars will fade

the lookk, that's on my face

is temporarily upside-down, it's okay to frown!
