SINGING!!!

I LOVE choir, and it's pretty much my life. Plus, my choir is AMAZING, becuase all the kids are so nice and our choir director literally brings us treats EVERY WEEK, and got us all sunglasses for a song we're doing. Anyway, does anyone else do choir? Or even just like to sing? If so, what songs do you like?
My choir has done these songs:
Can You Hear Me, by Bob Chilcott
The Bumblebee, by Sally Abrecht
Cantar, by Jay Althouse
And we are going to do these songs in my next concert. (IT'S TOMMOROW I'M SO EXCITED AND NERVOUS!!!!!!) 
Carol of the Bells
Jingle alllllll the ways ( Look it up! It's really fun.)
And part of The Reluctant Dragon ( It's a really long song, and an older choir is doing it. We're going to sing a bit of it with them)
And we're also bringing back Can You Hear Me and Cantar.

I'm in my church's choir, too! Does your choir practice anything like harmonies, or do they kind of just assume you know them?

Mine kind of just assumes, but I still love it. My choir director is awesome, and I actually made a friend (my friend T, from the post on CaC) who also loves art there. He loves art, and wants to be an illustrator (it could totally be an illustrator, he's awesome!). My choir is practicing songs like So Will I, and other church songs (since I'm homeschooled, I have to do choir at church).

Hey! I'm homeschooled too, but I don't do a choir with a church, I do it with a group that's outside of school. No, they don't just assume about harmonies, they teach us all of them. We also get these really pretty uniforms. It's a long black dress with a flower pinned to the shoulder.

Yep! I've been singing my whole life. What voice part are you? I'm an alto (I'm best at singing lower). I'm in my school's concert choir (choir anyone can join) and select choir (choir you have to audition for), and I was recently in a special local choir you have to be invited to and audition to get into. 

So yeah, I love to sing. If you like singing in choir, you might want to try musical theatre and/or learning an instrument. I've met many singers in choir who also love playing instruments and felt like learning an instrument helped enhance their experience singing. Let me know if you want to talk about music (by that I mean, choir, musical theatre, instrument playing, taste in music, ect.! Anything that falls under the genre of music).

Hi @Periwinkle! I'm a soprano, but sometimes I could also be an Alto. You're in a select choir! Wow! I'm in a concert choir, but might try a select choir sometime. I actually just got home from my concert, it was a blast! At first I was really nervous, but as soon as I got on stage I felt amazing, and just sang and sang and sang. It was really fun becuase it was a concert for kids, so pretty much we just got to delight a whole bunch of little people. Anyways, gtg now, bye!

And I'm happy to talk music anytime! I'm actually planning to learn piano sometime soon, but I've never gotten around to getting that organized.

I sing with my school chorus! I'm an alto, and our concert is tomorrow! Our first concert back in September was a Rocktoberfest and I had a lot of fun singing sixties and seventies rock!

Oh my gosh my choir is singing at a hockey game in literally 3 HOURS I'm so nervous becuase I've never sung at a hockey rink before. My choir does it every year, but since I joined recently I have never done it before. We're singing The Good Old Hockey Game, and On Hockey Days. 

Have fun! Unless you have a designated solo, you'll be singing with others, so don't be nervous.
