Hadestown

I recently listened to the musical Hadestown and I was wondering if anyone else has? I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!! I loved all the symbolism and also the characters and also the songs and the plot and AAAH I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. Btw you can get a good understanding of the plot just by listening to the songs -- you don't have to see it. That's what I did :) I don't think it's showing live where I am.

Eee yay person who likes the same music as me!! I have a couple theater nerd friends but none of them know Hadestown. What are your favorite songs? I really like Epic II, Our Lady of the Underground, Chant, and Wait for Me, partly because they sound good, and also I LOVE the lyrics in Wait for Me and Epic II.

Sorry, forgive my spiel...I'm just kind of obsessed with Hadestown rn :D

i also love hadestown!! i actually saw it on national tour which was AMAZING. The music is so good!! my favorite songs are probably wait for me, one of the epics (i can't choose), and way down hadestown :DD

I love that musical! I had the wonderful opportunity of seeing it live on Broadway last summer and aaahh it was so cool!!

YOU SAW IT LIVE?! OH MY GOODNESS I WANT TO DO THATTT...

I hope I can see it live someday! I love all the songs, and although I think they usually sound better in the studio recording, it just isn't the same :)

I want to see Hadestown SO BADLY!!! I think that this musical especially would be better seen in person. I've listened to the soundtrack SO MANY TIMES and its so good! Luckily, I live in NYC, so it's not totally out of the question for me to see it on Broadway but I have to convince my parents first (a powerpoint is always a good move hehe). I think the story is super intresting and the motifs and the way that Anaïs Mitchell sort of reframed it and aghh everything about it is such a masterpiece
