So what're everybuggy
So what're everybuggy's favorite Christmas songs?
Out of the more modern things, I like "Do They Know It's Christmas?", "Happy Christmas (War is Over)", "Last Christmas", and "All I Want for Christmas is You"
(Haha on the last one. I guess I just like the upbeatedness (???) of it or something... XP) And more, I'm sure, but that was just at the top of my head. And, of course, I like the classic ones. Out of those I can't even start to name favorites, because there are too many, but I do like all of the songs from The Nutcracker. Also, one band that has alot of good Christmas music is Mannheim Steamroller (weird name, I know...). Almost none of their music is sung, though, (meaning it's almost all instrument music) which I usually wouldn't like but in this case it's good. They have really pretty music. Soo, anyway, what Christmas music does everybuggy else like?

I like What Child is This, Mary Did you Know, and The March from the Nutcracker.

The March? Do you mean the battle scene music? I like You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch. That's my favorite.

My favorite is Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel. I also like Jingle Bell Rock, Oh Holy Night, and One Small Child (in a land of a thousand/one small dream of a Savior tonight/One small hand reaching out to the starlight...) (Just in case you didn't know the song.)
And yeah, the Nutcracker music is cool.

Hi! I like Mannheim Steamroller as well. My orchestra just did a Holiday concert and we played some tunes arranged by them. I don't know if you guys have heard of the Carpenters, but Karen sang the most beautiful Christmas songs. So, I like "O Holy Night" because it gets so grand in the middle and it's really beautiful. The Nutcracker always makes me feel Christmas-y and we had this tradition of seeing it every year. Somehow that faded and I haven't gone for awhile. :( Anyway, I also like "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and songs like that. My choir sang Christmas songs at some retirement homes and we sang pieces like: "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "We Three Kings" and other traditionals. I sang Soprano 2 (with a nice harmony part) and it was really fun. I just love listening to Christmas music; it puts me in the 'mood.' :D In my Religion class the other day, we played this Holiday trivia game on the last day of school. There were some 'name that tune' questions and I was the only person who knew "The Christmas Song" and "Carol of the Bells." I was really surprised! But anyway, I'm going off on a rant. Thanks for this thread!

Cool. I bet it would be fun to sing Christmas songs in a choir. :) I have too much stage fright for things like that, though... :( Anyway, I hope everybuggy had a wonderful Christmas or Hanukkah! :D And I'm glad you liked the thread. :) :) :)

I really like the Christmas Waltz ( Frosted window panes/ Candles gleaming inside/ Painted candy canes on the tree/ Santa's on his way/ He's filled his sleigh/ With things, things for you and for me It's that time of year/When the world falls in love/ Every song you hear/ Seems to say/ Merry Christmas/ May your New Years dream come true/ And this song of mine/ In three-quarter time/ Wishes you and yours/ The same thing too) :D :D I love all the Nutcracker music!!! That was nearly the only thing my family listened to this year! <3 <3
