I believe there are too many ski lodges. As of today (May 1), there are three ski lodges on the front pages. I see:
Ski Lodge
Ski Lodge
Ski Lodge
Greek Cafe
On the front of Puddings place. I don't want this to continue. Ski Lodges are an attack on emotional safety of many, including me, Chatterboxers. Seriously? Bloody violence and death? This cannot continue. I am calling on my fellow Chatterboxers to stop the ski lodges. You can help by not creating ski lodges, or if you do, not involve death or excessive violence.

GLT, many CBers enjoy ski lodges. They are presented in an atmosphere of fun mystery. We Admins aim to avoid posting excessive violence. If you don't like them, I suggest you avoid those threads and spend your time on others that are more to your liking.

Please yes, I have been anxious because I do not want to hurt anybody. We must stop, but I think we have to remember that this sort of thing can happen so it does not happen again. Those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it, after all, and I don't want another CBer leaving after we almost lost GLT. But yes, we should let this drop.

alright guys, please, i'm sure GLT was not trying to start a fight here, but can we not get heated about it? they have their opinions, and as much as apparently a lot of us disagree, myself included, we should still make the CB a welcoming and including place for opinions, let's just leave all of this behind us, not read skilodges if you don't like them, and move on

@Golden Lion Tamarin, I'm so sorry you feel hurt by all this. I personally am not angry at you, in fact I applaud your willingness to come out and say what you're thinking - and I'm pretty sure that not many other people are angry at you either... anyway, I hope this makes you feel better, because you don't deserve to feel disliked! :)
Also, I'm going to be unconventional and point out that it's not bad that we're disagreeing! In fact, it's... kind of nice? If we all thought the same, the CB wouldn't be the amazing place it is. Discussing what to do about ski lodges could very well turn into an argument with hurt feelings, but I haven't seen a single comment on here that could be interpreted as mean or hurtful. I definitely think that we shouldn't bring our personal feelings into this, but that doesn't mean we have to stop the discussion! It's like what you've been saying about ski lodges. If you don't like it, don't click on it. And this discussion has brought up a whole lot of good ideas. None of that would have happened if we hadn't openly discussed what to do. That's one of the great things about the CB - you can express yourself (within limits, of course).
I'm really sorry that some people have been hurt by this discussion, and I never intended to make anyone feel that way - if I did, I apologize. But I still think that disagreement is healthy and normal, not wrong.
I'll finish up by saying that I think all of you are wonderfully skilled writers, and if you don't agree with me, that's fine! And now I'll be letting the discussion die down along with everyone else :)

With all due respect, I'd like to ask why part of my comment was deleted. It was in no way hurtful or rude, and I was trying to make a point about ski lodges that I consider very important, even though it may have been unconventional. I believe that as long as a comment isn't unkind, it's fundamental that CBers be allowed to say what they think about controversial topics.
Ski lodges have already been discussed in detail, so we're limiting further discussion.

Oh, okay. Although I would like to mention that after all, as CBers and admins alike have pointed out, if you don't like a thread you just shouldn't click on it. Why does that appear to only apply to ski lodges, and not to this thread? And if a discussion makes people uncomfortable, why is it blocked while other content that also makes people uncomfortable (e. g. ski lodges) is allowed to continue? I should imagine that either everything CBers disapprove of would be blocked, or nothing would be blocked - it's unfair to keep some CBers from expressing potentially uncomfortable opinions, while allowing others to post content that also may be found distressing.
Not clicking on a thread you don't like applies to any thread, not just ski lodges. Discussion may be limited by Admins according to our Cricket Chatterbox guidelines. CBers may express their concerns to us, but Admins set the standards.

This is my answer: Discussion may be limited by Admins
according to our Cricket Chatterbox guidelines. CBers may express their
concerns to us, but Admins set the standards. If you need further explanation: while CBers concerns are important to us, we Admins and Editors decide what will or will not be posted. Just because someone says they don't like a thread does not mean that we won't post it.
