I believe there are too many ski lodges. As of today (May 1), there are three ski lodges on the front pages. I see:

Ski Lodge
Ski Lodge
Greek Cafe
On the front of Puddings place. I don't want this to continue. Ski Lodges are an attack on emotional safety of many, including me, Chatterboxers. Seriously? Bloody violence and death? This cannot continue. I am calling on my fellow Chatterboxers to stop the ski lodges. You can help by not creating ski lodges, or if you do, not involve death or excessive violence.

GLT, many CBers enjoy ski lodges. They are presented in an atmosphere of fun mystery. We Admins aim to avoid posting excessive violence. If you don't like them, I suggest you avoid those threads and spend your time on others that are more to your liking.

I agree with Sterling, guys. This is ridiculous and frankly a little childish, no offense. You don't have to read a Ski Lodge, nobody's forcing you to. You shouldn't jab at people for the way they express their creativity. Even if you dislike their methods, others can love them. Ski Lodges aren't even gory, they're a beloved tradition.
Dying in a Ski Lodge doesn't mean you're really dying or that you're kicked from the CB, okay? Okay.
Everything that needs to be said has been said.
I'm sorry that some of you are uncomfortable, but the Ski Lodges aren't hurting you. The only thing getting hurt is each other's feelings on this thread.
Ski Lodges are staying. People who dislike them can avoid them. That's what's happening. Let's chill.

@GLT - There's no need to leave CB. We might disagree, but nobody should have to leave over a minor disagreement, or a disagreement of any size. CB is a place for everybody's opinions, and just because other people don't share your opinions doesn't with doesn't mean you or anybody else has to leave.
@Everybody - We've come to what could be called either an impasse or a solution. People who like Ski Lodges aren't going to let anything happen to them anytime soon. Now we're basically saying the same things over and over. If you don't like them, don't read them. Nobody is actually being hurt, being killed in a Ski Lodge doesn't mean you're killed on all CB and can't post there anymore, and nobody needs to leave over this. Can we all just agree to hit pause, take a deep breath, forgive each other, and put it behind us?

Whoa. I don't know what just happened. It's like we started a mini fire on this thread and we're just throwing more fuel into it every page. Let's take a little time to let that fire calm down a little.
I understand that everyone is being defensive of their varying perspectives. I get it. Everyone has different opinions, different backgrounds, different places where they're at. There are countless things we humans disagree on.
But. There is a way ot express these opinions respectfully, empathetically almost. It's easy to get caught up in arguing, to become blinded by your own perspective.
Have you tried thinking of it from another person's point of view?
It's a possibility to give the other side a chance, to really think from their perspective. Try putting yourself in their shoes. Understand what they're feeling. Be gentle.
It can give you more depth into the situation. You might even realize that you were wrong to begin with (and no, I'm not saying that anyone is wrong, I'm just saying that it's a possibility).
@Scuttles, yes! Let's all take a deep breath and pour some water on that fire, figuratively speaking.

Okay, I don't have much to say here, but I just need to put this out there.
I don't want this to elivate into another war. It's been a long time since anything like that happened, and I don't want this to cut off the streak of peace. I personally think it would be a good idea to let this thread sink (or the Admins lock it), so we aren't running back here all the time. The CB is a safe space. Ski Lodges are just for fun, and they are barely gory. There is only one instance, on an older ski lodge called Camp Juniper, that could be truely be concidered "gory" and even then there was a TW.
Let's move on, please. Forgive and Forget. Ily all, I don't want us to be fighting all the time. Thanks for reading this, I hope this will help. It probably won't, but it's worth a shot, I suppose.

I don't want any one else leaving or having their feelings hurt because of this conflict. There's really nothing more that needs to be said on this issue. I also think it would be a good idea for this thread to sink of for the Admins to lock it, if everyone's okay with that?

Yes, I think it's a good idea to lock this thread. It isn't really resolving anything (it's more like running away from the conflict instead of facing it) but to keep on arguing this out would take pages and pages more and yes, it would hurt a lot of feelings.
I think it's better not to dwell on this thread, which is becoming a heated debate, and instead to fill our minds with all the other things the CB has to offer.

Hmm, perhaps we could revive old activities and things (such as This, Or That? games, Interactive Imagination Adventures (I think that's what we settled on calling them) like Daydreams Cafe, Battles of the Fandoms, etc etc etc) so people who aren't interested in reading ski lodges can have plenty of alternatives? I think that would be a good compromise.

Speaking of reviving, we should try to revive BaB. It's all quiet again there.
