First off, has anybuggy seen the movie Where the Wild Things Are?  Love it! :) Umm, yeah, I guess that's basically just what I wanted to say...  I've seen it twice! :) So what do you guys think of it?  Aaand, did anybuggy kind of see a resemblance between Douglas and Feather??  Or was that just me?? :):)

Same for me as Hannah. I don't really want to see the movie, either. I mean, how could they make a movie off the book? Nothing happened in the book! Nothing! They had to have done a lot of editing. And adding things. My parents are planning on going to see it by themselves, because neither me nor my sister want to see it.

It's not like the book at all.  They just took the same characters and title.

I haven't seen it, but I've seen previews of it and read it.  So, what happens in the movie?  They probably had to make up a lot of things that happen.

So it starts off with this adorable little kid named Max.  His parents are divorced (well, they never explain, but it's sort of obvious after a while), his sister and her friends are wicked mean to him, his mom (who has lots of time for her boyfriend) has barely any time for him, and he's just wicked lonely.  I know, the way I said it, it sounds really corny, but it's actually really sweet.  My friend and I cried!  But anyway, one night, he freaks out and runs away to the island of the Wild Things.  Each of the Wild Things has something to do with Max or his life (like K.W.'s friends Bob and Terry are supposed to be like how Max's mom is always spending time with her boyfriend and not her family, and Alexander is supposed to be like how Max never feels like anyone hears him).  It's the best movie ever. <3

I've read the book and seen the previews and that's about it.  Somewhere I heard that it was somewhat inappropriate.  Is that true??  And was it like "The Polar Express" where they had to add a bunch of stuff to make a two hour movie out of a thirty-two page book?  And was it any good?

Hahaha, inappropriate?  Where'd you hear that?  Umm, no, that's not true...  2nd question, yes, almost any time they make a movie out of a kids' book, they have to add a bunch of stuff.  I've never read the book, and I'm pretty sure the movie people didn't either. :) They just took the characters, like a boy named Max who wears a wolf PJ costume and a bunch of Wild Things, and combined them into a story.  It's pretty much about depression through the eyes of a six-year-old (or however old he is).  I went to see it: A, because my brother invited me to see it with his girlfriend, and B, because I really like the people who did the music in the preview. <3 And yes, it's amazing.  I saw it twice.

What?! The Polar Express movie is possibly the best movie ever created. It's just great. I am sleepy...*puts in the Polar Express and falls asleep with a smile on lips* *jerks awake* Aaaand, I love Where the Wild Things Are also! It's wonderful! I really want a monster costume like Max.And a tiny boat. And a male monster friend named Carol. It's simply pure genius.

Phew, I'm not the only person here who likes The Wild Things... :) Oh my gosh, it was amazing the first time I saw it, because we were in the HUGE theater, which was just a little under the size of the iMax.  Made me happy.  Haha, I found this cute little stuffed Max toy (in his sick costume) at Border's and am getting it for my brother for Christmas.  I'm glad he likes simple gifts. :)
And the Polar Express??  I liked it, buuuut waay too much Tom Hanks.  Ohhh gosh, it's gonna be creepy seeing Jim Carrey as everyone in the Christmas Carol... *shudders*
