You curl up on the couch. You had the most boring day in the world! Then, a bird flies through your open window. It lands next to you and somehow turns on the TV. " A dragon is attacking the city! Who ever can find it, kill it, and bring it to the mayor will get a HUGE reward!" Your eyes almost pop outa your head. A big reward! You gotta get that! But killing a dragon? You have never done that before. You grab armor and a plastic sword and set out on your quest. When you find the dragon, you see that it is asleep. You tip-toe over and raise your sword. Then it wakes up, then jumps on you! It roars then flies off. Then you realize it was afraid of you! You run after the dragon. You find it run in front of it, and drop your sword on the ground. Then you reach out your hand....

Hi, Ayles! Here's a short story I wrote in English class:
I duck into a dim alleyway and hold my breath, waiting in silence. The footsteps of my pursuers grow nearer, thumping on the cobblestones like drumbeats. They pause, stopping near my refuge. While I crouch in the shadows, I hear the drone of their voices, but the noise fades as they move on. After the sparrows settle back onto the rooftops, I let out a gasp of relief. They could never have caught me anyway, even if they had set foot in the alley. I smile, self-confidence blooming across my face. Suddenly, a dark shadow falls across the road, blocking the light. While I was lost in thought, they must have discovered me! There is no option but surrender, for I am cornered in my own hiding place. I make a last glance at my captor, then stop, as I look into the face of my best friend. "Come on," she says, "We've got to get out of here." I take her outstretched hand, elated by this fortunate turn of luck, and we hurry off into the shadows.
It sounds a little choppy because my teacher wanted us to practise using complex sentences and dependent clauses.
I like your story. And dragons are so cool!

Really good story! I'm just lucky this isn't a contest! Cause I wouldn't be able to choose a winner!
