You sit at the edge of your bed, reading. You wish you could escape into the world of your book, where there are castles and knights and magic. It all seems so much more interesting than the real world. But your parents are calling you to dinner, so you set the book down with a sigh and return to the dreary normalcy of your life.
When you return that evening and pick up the book, you are surprised to see a piece of paper sticking out where you would have put a bookmark were you a bookmark-using person. You pull it out cautiously (with no small amount of curiosity) and unfold it.
My dear friend, the letter reads, I have a most unique opportunity for you. Have you always wanted to go to a castle? Wished for something more in your life? For some magic to break up the dreariness of reality? I am pleased to invite you on a once-of-a-lifetime journey to a true Victorian castle, complete with an expansive library, ballroom, and all the antique relics you could dream of. If you are interested, simply fill out the attached form, leave it beneath your pillow tonight, and report to the nearest train station by Sunday, August 29.

Yes, this is a ski lodge! There is no numerical limit to attendees, just whoever signs up by August 29. Magic is allowed, but please try to keep it reasonable. Additionally, at any point in the ski lodge, feel free to tell me what you’d like to do— e.g. “I’d like to ask the other guests where they were at the time of the murder,” or “I’d like to go to the library.” And, of course, you are always welcome to guess me.

Appearance: Very white skin, bluish-grey eyes, and light brown hair. I have an undercut and generally have my hair in a ponytail, but when it's down it's about shoulder-length. I wear black glasses, and baggy, comfortable clothes. I'm pretty short, about 5'5 or so.
Personality: I'm pretty chill, but loud noises and lots of stuff going on around me (sensory overload) can stress me out, and then I get kind of stand-offish and rude. Intelligent, though I have a hard time staying focused. Ambiverted. I wouldn't consider myself overly confident but I don't really have a problem with social situations. Sometimes I have a hard time shutting up when I start talk about something I really like or that I'm really passionate about. I can be pretty cynical and sarcastic at times. I consider myself to be funny, but that's fairly subjective. Creative.
What are you bringing? Clothes, basic necessities, a sketchbook and a lot of pencils, a deck of cards, and a pocket knife. Some eyeliner, too.
What would you wear to a ball? One of those old-fashioned suits, like something a rich white guy from the 1800s would wear to an evening dinner.
What is your favorite food? Anything lemon or lime flavored.
How do you like your marshmallows cooked? Burnt marshmallows are the best!
Would you prefer to be put in a room by yourself or with others? By myself, I like privacy.
Anything else we should know? I know some ASL and I know how to do CPR. That might come in handy. Also, I hate being in water and would absolutely refuse to ever go swimming or boating.

What would you wear to a ball? Knee length light light blue dress with elaborate silver details. Light blue flats. Delicate silver chain necklace with small sapphires. My hair would be in a half ponytail, in which the ponytail part is an elaborate braid of some sorts.
What is your favorite food? I literally cannot choose, but currently I'm in the mood for lobster mac and cheese.

Appearance: tanned skin, blue eyes, and short dark purple hair. i'm really short (4'11). usually wear baggy dark clothes with my aviator jacket and boots.
Personality: infj. pretty much a walking contradiction. i like to put on a show about how tough i am, but i'm really a scaredy-cat. pretty skittish. outgoing introvert (if that makes any sense), i like people but they make me nervous. therefore, i can be sort of stand-offish or cold. once i'm comfortable with others i'll open up easily and become more of a team player. i'm all about finding new solutions to problems, and i like helping others.

What would you wear to a ball? I would hide in my room away from everyone. The only thing that scares me more than heights is large, noisy crowds.
What is your favorite food? Cake and pasta, though not together.

I'd wear black heels, dangly gold earrings, a gold necklace, and gold rings. My hair would be half up half down and slightly curled, and I'd be wearing light makeup, mainly blush and eyeliner.

What would you wear to a ball?: A sleeveless cream-colored dress with a floor-length skirt. The bodice is covered in pastel flowers, which continue a little ways down the skirt. I'd go barefoot, with a few rings and gold earrings. My hair would be down, with a few matching flowers pinned in.
What is your favorite food?: Hmm, I like seafood.

Appearance: slightly-above-shoulder-length dirty blonde hair with uneven black tips. pale skin. black-blue-purple eyes. very tall & pretty skinny. i wear black, baggy clothes- think collared shirts & stripes. and skater jeans with too many pockets. and rainbow socks. i'm always carrying around my black messenger bag, which has all my luggage in it- there's a secret pocket for my real journal. combat boots & some kind of black hat are a must. also, i have wings. they're rather long & are indigo-tinted black. i use them to fly up to high places & rooftops and spy on people :D
Personality: the definition of introverted. would be constantly alone w/ music & a book if it was up to me. people stress me out. self-concious, pure, & a nervous wreck :D i try my best to be kind & funny & helpful but i can get snappy and exasperated quickly, which leads to rude shouting before i cut myself off and run away. very sensitive to everything- sound & touch especially. creative, imaginative, and would rather read/write than talk to anyone. also- people watching. i don't like getting close to people, i'd rather watch them obsessively from afar, preferably somewhere high up.
What are you bringing?: hmm- my journal, a decoy journal, a decoy for the decoy (there's no such thing as too careful aujghfge), tiny dino*, a tube of glitter (you never know when things might need sparkles), a sketchbook & pens, and extra rainbow socks.
What would you wear to a ball?: a black midi dress. the neck & sleeves are made from transparent fabric & the skirt is made from layers of black tulle. very sparkly bc there's tiny stars woven into the fabric. combat boots & fun silver necklaces or something. i'd probably put my hair half-up half-down with glitter in it just to further annoy people :)
