I'm a dancer myself, and I've noticed a few other people on the CB talk about being dancers! So here is a thread to talk about whatever dance stuff you want.

What kind of dance do you do?

I took ballet for nearly a decade, but I've always loved tap-dancing best!

I do ballet and tap dance too! I also take jazz and modern

Ooh, jazz was lumped in with tap(like, we'd do jazz for the first half somedays and tap second, or the other way around) in our studio.

I also took, like, one class of modern at a different studio, and was like, nope, not for me.

I do ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and I compete. I am currently panicking because

1. The dinner show (show where we do all our competition dances for our families and to help raise money for competition fees) is next week, and we don't even have spots in one of our dances, and in another dance I don't know it that well bc I'm basically an understudy and learned it fully by watching other people

2. We're doing block scheduling by age group for the dinner show (which is outside, and we will wear masks) and because of said understudy dance I have no breaks

3. My pointe shoes are very very extremely dead but the recital is in like 3 weeks and I don't see the point in spending 100 dollars on a new pair at this point

4. One of the dances for the recital we also don't have spots yet and we haven't even finished it

5. I lost my left split over break and one of my dances requires me to do a left split 

7. We're supposed to sell popcorn I think for like extra fundraising for the dinner show but my teacher didn't tell us about it my mom just got it from an email and idk and I hate fundraising and it gives me so much anxiety

8. Competition is in like a month

I'm so excited to have a dancer thread!!! I take ballet and modern dance. :) My studio is going to have our recital in June, which is super exciting because we didn't get to have it last year!

Ooh! I don't do dance myself, but I can do a decent back bridge, but otherwise my dance moves are ~horrible~. I'm definitely not flexible, but when I was 8, I could do a ~perfect~ well, as perfect as one can be, side split on both sides. I have lost that skill.

My friend can do a back and front walkover and a needle and all this other stuff I forgot about, 5 of my friends can do cartwheels. 

Em, the person who can do a back/front walkover/all this other stuff/cartwheels has a friend who competed in the State Championships in dance, Em herself also does a lot of competitive dance. 

I had a friend a long time ago who could do an aerial and so much other stuff. 

I'm mostly a debater and artist and writer, but sometimes I do a little bit of stretching because "yOu hAvE tO hAvE gOoD jOiNtS"

Yeah, that's about it, most of my friends who dance have already gotten their pointe shoes.
