I immediatley thought of a tea shop when I saw your name <3 Let me know what you think!

The smell of steeping tea wafts through the warm air of the small store, leaking out of the open door and into the chilly street. Glass windows display shelves of clear plastic containers containing every color and type of dried leaves. Inside, a few round tables sit under the glow of the overhead lighting and fairy lights that are strung across the wooden rafters above. Each table is surrounded by three or four chairs. More shelves line the inside walls, stocked with containers of tea marked with a little label written in flowery cursive. Behind the counter, an older girl is rearranging some of the containers, periodically sipping from a thermos brimming with jasmine tea. Her long dark green hair is thrown into a messy ponytail over one shoulder. She’s wearing a sapphire blue knitted sweater and dark jeans, and her eyes are a deep, deep brown. Her pale skin is splashed with light freckles. Someone enters the store with a ding from the vintage bell on the door. The girl smiles, brushes some olive colored hair aside, and steps out to start her business for the day.

Salty sea spray mists through the warm air as the waves collide against the sandy shore over and over again. Seagulls cry out and circle overhead, diving into the ocean in sudden bursts of speed. A flash of movement bursts from the horizon, disturbing the continuous sound of the water and birds. Someone is running along the beach, their damp blonde hair streaming behind them. They’re wearing a plain t-shirt and shorts, barefoot feet crashing through the shallow waves as they sprint alongside the waves. Their shorts and the bottom of their shirt are thoroughly soaked, but they don’t seem to notice or care. Their hazel eyes are alight with joy and the luminescence of the sunlight. Suddenly, the person skids to a stop, casting wet sand and water around them. They reach up and grab something from the air with quick precision. It’s a feather, from one of the seagulls above, and it seems almost translucent and glowing in that moment. They smile and open their hand, allowing the feather to be carried away by the ocean breeze. Their eyes linger on the blue sky and swirling water for just a second longer before turning heel and resuming their rushed run along the water’s edge.

The street is dark and shadows melt into one another and collect in every dip and crack in the sidewalk. The tall brick walls cut off all routes except for one, barbed wire curling menacingly at the top of each barrier. All is silent except for the drip of dirty water and the scrabbling of small animals against the stone. Streetlights line the street, all of them broken except one, casting a brilliant pool of harsh orange light onto the concrete. A flicker of movement comes from in the deep shadows of one of the forgotten brick walls, and out of the darkness a figure steps into the streetlight’s glow. She is wearing a dark hoodie and black jeans, complete with black combat boots splashed with dried mud. Her hoodie is pulled all the way over her head, and the only part of her that is visible is her face, which is partially obstructed in shadow. She turns her head upwards, and the light catches in her eyes and seems to make them shine with otherworldly aura. And then the light flickers and dies for an instant before turning back on again. But the figure is gone. It’s as if she was never there in the first place.

Name: Firelily
Pronouns: She/her

A summer breeze brushes through the meadow, stirring up emerald green leaves and flower petals. The expanse of green spreads out as far as the eye can see, blending into the cloudless sky at the horizon. Clusters of flowers burst from the ground, almost looking like spurts of flame in the grass. Their red and orange petals unfurl to the sunlight and shimmer in an ethereal ambiance. A girl is standing in one of the groups of fire liles, her bright red hair the same hue as the flowers. Her pale yellow shirt dress stands out among the growth of nature, brushing against the stems and grass. A wicker basket hangs from one hand. She bends and delicately snaps a flower from the base of its stem, twirling it in her hand before adding it to her basket. With her shining ruby hair in a detailed braid among the scarlet flowers, it seems as if she was always meant to be there.

Sunlight slants into the room and hits the canvas, illuminating the cream colored material. A collection of vibrant paints rest on a table next to the blank canvas, awaiting the moment that they’ll be put to use. Finished words of art, some of them sketches, others detailed and colored, cover the whole wall behind the painting equipment, overlapping with each other. The girl in the center of the room shifts so the light dapples her red, orange and yellow ombre dyed hair. Her stylish clothes are splattered with paint, but it only seems to add to her confident air. Her green eyes flit from the canvas to the paints before picking up a paintbrush and dipping it into a sapphire blue, hovering the tip above the canvas, as if planning the strokes of color that will flow from her brush and imagination. The girl closes her eyes to the art room and sunlight, and begins to paint.
