Comfort songs :)
Does anyone else have songs that are like comfort songs, or always make you smile? Or is that just me XD Here are a few of mine! Feel free to talk about any of yours :)
Sweet Willow, from the musical Willow! I don't listen to Willow in general much anymore, but I used to listen to it constantly and this song specifically feels a little like a hug.
This Love Won't Break Your Heart, from Bittersummer. This is one of my favorite songs of all time and the ending especially makes me so happy.
Love Me When I Don't, by Pentatonix. It's one of their newer releases, and it's absolutely amazing. The whole thing is very hopeful. And the first "your problems/I got em/no need to worry/you won't hit the bottom" also sounds like a hug XD
But You'll Do, by Malinda. She has an amazing voice and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to listen to this song without smiling lol

Totally! My comfort songs are Carried Me with You by Brandi Carlile (from Onward). It's just so sweet and relaxing :) And then I love basically all songs by Teresa Bright, her voice is really gentle and beautiful. And basicaly mxmtoon's entire album dawn, everyone of those songs just feels so amazing somehow.

Maybe I was Boring, White Wine in a Wetherspoons, It's all Futile! It's all Pointless!, the entire Your City Gave me Asthma album.
Also I snuck the roly poly fish heads song into the music queue while in a voice call with my friends and it was hilarious.

For comfort songs, I pretty much default into shuffling through whatever musical I'm in the mood for at the moment. Today it was Lightning Thief: the Musical :)

One Day by Matisyahu, especially the version covered by Koolulam, which is an organization that gets large groups of people to sing together, similar to Choir! Choir! Choir!, if you've heard of them. (I also love watching Choir! Choir! Choir! videos. It's sooo amazing.)
This Is Me from The Greatest Showman (along with loads of other songs from that movie/musical)
Believer by Imagine Dragons
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen
Fight Song by Rachel Platten
My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music
I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan... idk why I like it so much but it has good vibes to me, I guess
And I absolutely love the musicals Matilda, Willow, and Over and Out!

- Fireflies, by Owl City. It just brings back memories of simpler times :')
- A Million Dreams, from The Greatest Showman. I sang this back in 3rd grade, and it's just my sort of thing, plus it reminds me of when I was young, and foolish, and naive, those were good times.
- Driver's License by Olivia Rodriguez (PLEASE say that was the right spelling...) I can just vibe with this a lot :>
- Where The North Wind Blows, From Frozen II

Um, basically all of the Dreamcatcher songs... Especially BOCA, Scream, Déjà Vu, Silent Night, And Then There Was No One Left, Rose Blue, Odd Eye, Black or White... Okay, honestly just any of their songs. They're all amazing.
I also like Chinese instrumental music(sometimes with calm singing) or Japanese ones like Hana no Ue Ni, Flower and Butterfly (Fujita Maiko), Mizu Fusen (also Fujita Maiko), Fukurou (Kokia), Otona no Ookami (also Kokia), Blue Bird (Ikemono Gakari), and Promise Swords by Knights which is a lot more cheerful than all the rest of those. This is basically my whole comfort playlist. XD

My comfort songs are anything from Star Wars, Harry Potter, the Greatest Showman, or Hamilton. Also Sunflower from Into the Spiderverse

I love, love, love Great Big Storm by Nate Ruess. It's more powerful and uplifting than comforting, but it's great. It makes me want to laugh and cry and scream all at once and I love that feeling.
For Now by Kina Grannis is also great. It's way softer than Great Big Storm, so that's good (or bad, depending on the way you looks at it). Actually, any song by Kina Grannis is great. In addition to her own songs, she does slowed-down covers that are often better than the actual song.
Wind in Our Sail by Weezer is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are so good—they incorporate all the things I love (Greek mythology, Charles Darwin, sailing) into one song somehow. California Kids, also by Weezer, will make you feel better about literally everything.
Finally, Detlef Schrempf by Band of Horses is also good.
Well, that was longer than I anticipated and sounded more like a professional review than a comment on a thread. It looks so weird now... *cringes* Eh, whatever, I'm too lazy to fix it. Let me know if you listen to any of these!

Have It All (Jason Mraz)
Hey There Delilah (Plain White T's)
This Is Home (Cavetown)
Such Great Heights (Iron & Wine)
Fidelity (Regina Spektor)
Winter Song (Sara Bareilles/Ingrid Michaelson)
Red Cape (Priscilla Ahn)
Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol)
Candle in the Wind, Tiny Dancer, Your Song (all Elton John)
Where Does the Good Go (Sleeping At Last)
And a lot more, but I don't have time to list them all XD

My comfort songs shift a lot, there are usually a few single songs that can make me happier than anything else, but they shift day-to-day. Anything from Les Mis or, like pretty much everyone else, Willow can also make my heart melt and sing, as well as most of the songs from Over and Out. In general, my comfort music is softer and sadder, whereas its counterpart, music that gets me up and moving is faster and upbeat.

Some comfort songs I have include almost all Greatest Showman songs, I Lived and Counting Stars/Watch it Burn by One Replublic, Better than One by The Score, Raging Fire by Phillips Phillips, More With You and Not the Same by Malinda, You Will be Found by Dear Evan Hansen, and Brand New by Ben Rector. Okay, okay, yeah, I listen to a lot of happy music :p. But honestly the best out of this list is Brand New. It's just so unbelievably happy and uplifting. I definitely recommend.

Sweet Willow from Willow, it's so pretty and it always calms me down no matter what's wrong. I ver much agree with Starch, it feels like a hug!
Fireflies by Owl City, I loved this song when I was younger and I still love it!
Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, this song was my middle school angst song but now I listen to it fondly.
Don't Stop Believing by Journey, an absolute bop that I will never not sing along to.
Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, also an absolute bop that I will never not sing along to.
Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, it's a beautiful song and it always reminds me of my Grandpa.
