Oh, yes! This thread is great!

My favorite musical of all time is Les Miserables. It's sad and beautiful, and the music is so powerful! The characters are so beautiful, and my favorites move around a lot because they're all wonderful, but it's incredible to see the beauty of humanity, even when it comes the the most unlikely places. Anyone around you can be a (figurative) angel, and love has so much power. I love what it says. Plus it's French and based off of a book, and got me into musical theater, so it has to take top place in my heart.

Tied in second place are Hamilton and Willow, which I will return to rant in honor of soon. 

My favorite musical is The Lightning Theif Musical! Finally a good adaption of Percy Jackson!

It's, like, accurate, without unnessecary changes. The casting is really good -- most of the characters sound just like how I imagine them, ecxept that they can sing. Also, it references book three -- TWICE. First with the Hoover Dam, then with Bianca speaking at the Lotus Hotel. 

I also love Mean Girls the Musical. I used to like Matilda the Musical but not as much anymore.

I think that musical adaptions are just . . . BETTER than other ones, especially considering that my favorite musicals are all adaptions. 

Okkk I'm gonna rant now:

Hamilton is my favorite musical! I started listening to it when I was in 5th grade, and I've love love loved it ever since! The rhymes are amazing and I know every word by heart. I've also seen the Disney+ movie around six or seven times- maybe more. ALSO, if you're a Hamilfan, check out Lin Manuel Miranda's demos for his songs on Soundcloud under the username Lin_Manuel. They're all his early drafts for songs, and quite a few cut ones. Favorite songs from the musical are IMPOSSIBLE to choose, but I love 'My Shot', 'Satisfied', and LITERALLY EVERY SONG IN THE SHOW I CAN'T CHOOSE-

Les Mis is also amazing!! I also quite like On My Own. I've only ever seen the movie adaptation, though I've always wanted to see it in a theater. The movie was super good though, and I've been wanting to watch it again for a while now! Favorite songs are 'On My Own' and 'One Day More'.

In the Heights is another one of Lin Manuel Miranda's INCREDIBLE creations. It's much less well known, but it's about the nieghborhood Washington Heights, starring Lin. It's really really good and the songs are amazing! Christopher Jackson is also a main character (he played George Wahington in Hamilton). I've never seen it though, only listened to the soundtrack, so I know practically by heart :P Favorite songs are 'In the Heights', 'It Won't be Long Now', 'Blackout' and 'Breathe', among others.

Wicked is so unique and incredible!! It's such an amazing retelling of a classic tale. I've seen it on broadway once and was b l o w n  a w a y. Defying Gravity is such a powerful peice, it's even more impressive when you see it in the theater. I listen to the soundtrack on repeat all the time (another one I know all the words to lol). Favorite song: 'Defying Gravity'!

Hadestown is a pretty new musical; it won Best Musical in 2019. It's a retelling of the greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice (i misspelled that lol) and the music is incredible!! Make sure to check it out, especially if you're a fan of greek myths. Favorite song is probably 'Livin it Up on Top' or 'Hadestown'.

Beetlejuice the Musical (yet ANOTHER musical I know all the words to) is totally wacky and weird, but the music is sO CATCHY and I love it so so much!! Favorite song is probably 'Dead Mom' XD

Last, but not least, the Lightning Thief Musical is super good!! Unlike the movies, they portrayed all the characters in a believable way and the fact that they managed to fit all of the important info AND book references was incredible (I lost it at the 'dam snacks' joke lolll). Favorite song is probably 'My Grand Plan' but I also like 'Drive', 'Lost!', 'Another Terrrible Day', and 'Put You In Your Place'.
