You unzip your coat and look around you in wonder. The snow that had lain on the ground for months is finally melting, new grass blades are poking their tips up from the soil, and the clouds are disappearing. You open the door of your house to go back in, before realizing that the weather is too nice to stay inside. You turn around and continue down the street. A soft, gentle breeze whistles through the budding tree branches and you smile and close your eyes in bliss. Suddenly, you open them again as something smacks into your face. You peel it off and look at it, about to throw it away. But something stops you. Instead, you look at the object. It's a piece of paper. No, an envelope. A slightly stained, old-looking one, but still an intact envelope just the same. You see a faded name on it and peer more closely to read it. It's your name! You rip it open with growing curiosityand pull out an abnormally thick sheet of paper. It reads,

You read over the letter again, look around you to mark the exact spot where the letter hit you, and head home to fill out the form in the letter. You skip along the roadside giddily, happily anticipating a camping trip to the Moonlight Forest, wherever that is. What you don't notice is another piece of paper on the sidewalk behind you, crumpled and muddy. It's marked by a large blot in a red substance that looks suspicously like blood. If you turned around to look, you might have been able to tell that the marking on the paper looked quite a lot like a bear pawprint...

This is my first ski lodge! Feel free to guess me. Also, this ski lodge is a little different than most in that there will be clues that you can solve to find the murderer, and you can recommend things to me that you want your story-self to do. There are 10 slots and I'll start on Dec. 20, unless the slots become full before that.

Day 4, Part 1
*
The next day, the CBers were still mulling over the events of the previous day. They sat on the warm, slightly sticky grass, apart from eachother, untrusting. Or, at least, Dragon and moon kitsune did. Silver and Juni sat close together, due to a mutual agreement. Silver was holding a battered gray-green notebook, and Juni looked over her shoulder at the page Silver held open. It was covered with mostly-illegible words, doodles, and charts. A claw, a short poem, an impossible-to-read word that was underlined and written in purple ink, instead of blue. "Found anything?" Silver asked quietly. "Nothing," Juni murmured, shrugging. She tapped Silver's shoulder in the pre-determined signal that she had finished reading the two open pages. Silver nodded, then turned the page. More illegible scrawls. The notebook that the two were looking through was Kitty Cat's. They had found it, battered and dusty, under the bed, where Kitty had presumably dropped it when they were murdered. Another page was turned-then another, and another. Finally, Silver turned the last page- slowly, slowly. Expecting to see something significant there. But there was nothing at all. The page was blank. The only markings on it were the notebook lines. Oh, and-what was that little black mark at the very top? Silver peered closer. She suddenly was aware that Juni, who'd been leaning on her shoulder and giving her constant warning of her presence, was gone. Silver sat up and looked around her. Juni was coming out of the Wolf Cabin, looking triumphant, and holding a tiny magnifying glass. Silver jumped up excitedly. "Great idea!" she said entusiastically. Juni gestured for Silver to lay the notebook on the ground, then held the magnifying glass up to the tiny black blot. The world suddenly spun violently around the two CBers, and their green and brown surroundings changed into gray and black, with a tinge of blue.
*
moon kitsune looked up suddenly from the tiny, somewhat amicable mouse that he'd been stroking. Something had happened, he was sure of it. He just wasn't sure what. A noise, maybe? Or a flash of movement at the edge of his peripheral vision? He glanced at Ferocious Dragon, who was looking around as well. As one, they both noticed the same thing, at the same time. "Silver and Juni are gone!"
*
Juni stumbled, and Silver caught her wrist and pulled her back up again. Juni nodded her thanks, but stayed silent. The cave they'd found themselves inside felt like the kind of place that you needed to be quiet in. And for good reason, too, though the CBers didn't know that yet.
*
Dragon was the first to take action. "We have to find them!" he cried, shoving aside his immediate distrust of moon kitsune, for the sake of his friends. moon kitsune nodded, agreeing. He stood up. "Where should we start looking?" he asked. "Let's spilt up," Dragon decided sensibly. "I'll look in their cabin, you check the cafeteria. We'll meet back here if we don't find them." moon kitsune nodded and sprinted off to the cafeteria. Storya intercepted him. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Silver and Juni are missing!" he cried, continuing on, barely looking at her. Storya's eyes widened in slight disbelief. "i just realized something!" she turned to her sister.
*
Silver jumped backwards quickly as a shadow emerged from the darkened end of the cave. To her eyes, not yet used to the darkness, tont the bear-shaped shaodw's chest was a glowing blue ball, edged with gold. It looked almost as if it was fighting with the blackness around it. The shadow's eyes were black as obsidian, glowing as much as something that dark could. Juni gasped, tripped over her own feet, and fell to the cold stone floor. "I brought you here," the shadow began. It's voice was deep and sounded almost frightned, shaky. It seemd to split into two at the end, like a fraying rope. Something about it was entrancing, mesmerizing. The girls were backed against a wall, staring at the dark bear-like shape. It shook its head like it was trying to get rid of a pesky fly, and the blue glow at its chest shook and wavered like a flickering candle. Its eyes grew darker, for just a second, then it was back to normal. "We must be fast," the bear... thing said. "I don't have much time. You two mustn't tell anyone else about what you learn here." It dropped its muzzle down to the girls' heads. The world spun again, just as it had when they'd been transported to the cave. This time, the swirling was even more nauseating.
