You’re sitting on the couch reading, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, a mug of hot chocolate at your side. You take a sip and turn the page. ‘Everyone was finally gathered at the palace,’ you read. ‘They stood on a path bordered by hedges of white roses as cold flakes of snow gently fell, waiting for their host.’ You sigh, wishing you were the one in a winter wonderland. It was already December and it still hasn’t snowed a flake. Then again, you almost never see snow where you live. You go back to reading but soon feel an odd chill in the air. Looking up, you see white feathers swiftly falling from the sky. Feathers? You wonder. No… snow! You open the back door and dash outside. The winter sky is covered by blankets of pale grey clouds. Chilly white powder covers the grass. You stretch out a hand in wonder and a tiny snowflake lands on your finger. Suddenly more and more begin to fall into your outstretched palm, as if gravitating to you. They form a thin white scroll and you yelp in surprise as it unravels and neat blue calligraphy begins to be written on it. The snow-scroll reads-
Dear friend,
You dream of winter, of ice and snow, of a crisp, beautiful paradise. You wish to frolic in fields of white, to walk through snow-dusted gardens, to curl up by the fire after a long day of excitement. So I would like to invite you to my home, The Wintertide Palace. There you and your fellow guests will be able to fulfill all those dreams, and more. My palace hosts many snowy activities (or for those who prefer to stay inside, we boast an impressive library, art studio, and concert hall). On the last day I will host the Crystal Ball, to which all guests are invited. To accept this gracious invitation, simply fill out the form below and blow your scroll back into snow dust. I patiently await your reply.

Appearance: Longish dark brown hair with lightly bleached ends, Asian features, olive toned skin, brown eyes. Usually wearing a t-shirt and jeans, some sort of necklace, maybe a hoodie, too.
Personality: I'm bit shy at first but I like talking to people that I trust. Generally friendly, if a bit competitive
Packing list: Clothes, other essentials, calligraphy pens, notebook, pens, kindle, cell phone, headphones, batteries, flashlights, lantern, an assortment of necklaces that include a golden chain with the letters of my name spelled out in little golden charms, one with a little green heart charm, one with a silver chain and silver charm picturing dolphins swimming in a circle, and one that is literally just a bunch of colorful zippers on a chain in a rainbow pattern (ps I actually own all of these necklaces for some weird reason :))
What you'd most enjoy doing at the Wintertide Palace: Maybe ice skating? I'm not too good at it but I could use some practice. NOT SKIING PLEASE or anything like that XD. Also lots of hot chocolate. PS I'm sorry but I can't help picturing Elsa's palace from Frozen lol

Appearance: Curly brown hair that falls to my shoulders that has two half up buns in it. I wear a light yellow button-up shirt under deep red suspenders. I also wear mossacasin-style flats. On my left hand I wear a weathered friendship bracelet and a lime green watch. On the other is a rubberband. I'm (pretty) tall and curvy. I'm tan, with freckles and warm brown eyes.
Personality: Bookish, shy, witty. A bit sarcastic and standoffish.
Packing List: My laptop, pajamas, markers and pens, sketchbook, The Selected Works of T.S. Spivet, a camera, and a vial of poison (for self defense...possibly.)
What you’d most enjoy doing at The Wintertide Palace: The library! And I'd love to use the studio. As for outdoor activities, I love sledding and I like making snow forts (or trying to).

Appearance: I have shoulder-length blue-purple-white hair, pale skin dotted with gold and silver freckles, a halo made from teeny-tiny stars that floats just above my head, a soft black sweater with silver thread details, baggy indigo pants that swish around my bare feet. I still have the raven wings made of galaxies, except their smaller now and never go away. Also they have a fuzzy quality, with stars escaping and floating around my occasionally. Also indigo eyes, but one a bit more purple and one a bit more blue. For this ski lodge, I'll swap my halo for a fuzzy sky blue hat with a white pompom on the top ;D
Personality: I'm a shy extrovert with a tendancy to forget things. I hate violence and fighting, Im very awkward, and I stuff my emotions down. I dont cry easily, but when I do it comes out in a torrential storm, and I get mad only when things really irritate me... :\ Im all over the place, as you can tell. Also, I try to be polite and kind ALWAYS.
Packing List: I'll bring a fluffy navy blue jacket, three notebooks, my Hot Chocolate Wand (instantly makes hot chocolate ;D), extra socks, my purple gloves, blue-black skiis, sky blue ski boots, and a big fluffy white blanket that I use for cozy reading time. Also toiletries and changes of clothes.
What you’d most enjoy doing at The Wintertide Palace: Skiing, reading in the library, drawing in the art studio, and having lots of hot chocolate. Also, not dying and not being the murderer, please.

Appearance: Long, dark brown hair pulled into a messy high ponytail. Emerald eyes, pale skin, and long nails that are usually painted pastel colors. Normally wears a little makeup, shorter skirts and t-shirts.
Personality: Very sweet until me or my friends are messed with. I talk a lot and it's easy to make friends with me. I always have to know what's going on, which people sometimes find annoying. Incredibly loyal and just wants to have a good time. :)

Appearance : Tanned skin, white-blonde, bleached-by-the-sun hair (I love to spend time outside) that is slightly shorter than shoulder length, and straight. Commonly has bangs over left eye. Soft, kind, deep brown eyes. Wren wings (Carolina wren: chestnut brown with chocolate and cream-colored stripes and spots)
Companion : Tiny worrenn (wolf with wings and antlers) named Chestnut, Chessie for short. He is a chestnut color, with wings the ame color as me and antlers a little darker than his fur. He fell onto my head one day and I have been caring for him ever since. He can't remember how he came to be with me. We can talk to each other through mental communicaton. He is a little bit mischevious and can't stand to be separated from me.
