Draw This Your Style!
Soooo, everyone! After some time thinking about it, I've decided to do this fun thread thing called draw this your style. (I saw it on the Internet) It's pretty simple! Somebody's posted a picturing, and then the other person can draw it digitally or traditionally.
So, I've decided to post the first picture! (It's ugly, but eh) I'll post it when this comment is done (don't comment before that!).

FIRST PLACE: Starseeker! I love the detail, especially in the eye shines and the bubbles in the hair. Your entry is just gorgeous, and I love your style!
SECOND PLACE: Sybill! The way you altered the hair design works very well with your style, and I especially like the energy and detail of the koi fish. Nice work!
THIRD PLACE: Quill! I love the semi-realistic style and the details-- great to see someone doing their entry traditionally with so much detail! I love the hair, and the shading on the clothes!
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Aqua: Your entry had a very creative use of medium, and the glow effect is very impressive considering you did it traditionally! I know I say this a lot, but I really love your style!
Spellbound: Did you say you did that with makeup?? That's such an interesting and creative idea! Of course, you lost detail with your choice of medium, but it's really cool all the same.
Moonlight: Yours looks really nice! I love the colored lineart and the gradient in the hair. The koi fish also look really pretty.
Sirin: Great job on your entry, I love the way you captured the glow, and the relaxed, sketch-like lineart looks very nice.
Jwyn/Indigo Feather: I love how how the bold black lineart contrasts with the soft coloring in the hair, and the expression is also really nice-- great work!
Cynthia M: I love the sweet face and the coloring of the hair! One suggestion-- you could try to outline your artwork with a fine-tip pen, it might give it a bit more clarity. I feel like the facial features blend into the face a little too much. Otherwise, great work!
Niteskiies: Even though you're not here anymore and probably won't see this, I think your entry is really awesome! I love the hair, the 3/4 view, and the doll-like quality of the face. Keep drawing, and I hope to see your art here again in the future!
Alex: I especially like the eyes and the bubbles in the hair! I would maybe consider doing your coloring and lineart on seperate layers, if your art program lets you do that? That way, your coloring won't go over your lineart. Also, I spotted some white splotches in your coloring, which means you're likely using a paint bucket tool. I'd recommend using a brush tool for coloring, so the color is more even. I really like your entry, though, and your style is so cute!
Sparkle Moon: I love the detail you added to the hair, and the way you draw eyes is really nice! Great job!
Doggiegirl2010: Your entry has such rich colors, and I really love the background you added!
Lupine: I love the shy expression and the gradient in the hair color.

Oh! Wow! Okay! :D I've never won an art contest before (or, actually, any CB contest) so this is really cool! I'll have the next drawing uploaded soon (before Friday of this week-- it's actually a very busy week for me, if all goes well I'll upload it tonight, but I don't want to make an empty promise). I'll set the judging date as August 21. That's two weeks from this Friday. Does that work for everyone?
