Drawing contest!
hey guys! We haven't had one of these in a while, and i thought it'd be fun to bring them back! And if you don't know how it works already, basically, the judge(me, for this round) comes up with a theme and a date for them to be due. Then the judge well, judges the drawings and the winner becomes the new judge! And I don't think there are any rules other than nothing inapropriate and stick to the theme, Lmk if there are others!
and without further ado, the first theme is, drum roll please, Journey! Judging will be february 5! I'm super excited to see your pictures!

The feet look small and the body looks squished. Oh well.

Hey, could you please judge? I know you’re probably busy, but I really don’t want this thread to die. Thanks so much, if you see this!

Ayee, I am so sorry, i've been unable to access this recently, sorry for the late judging!
Okie, so;
First place: Indigo Feather,
I love this concept and the little details, plus it just seems pretty cool and I think it fits the theme while putting an interesting spin on it, albeit a tad rough. I especially like how it seems to point to mundanity sometimes hiding a deeper meaning and hidden mysteries. (Very much in the style of Agatha Christie, in my opinion).
Second Place: Mahriel,
I think that your idea was interesting, and I admire the way that you took the curviture of the glass, shadows, perspective and binding into consideration, and all the while it looks really tidy and familiar, if not slightly simple and just a bit cliche with the saying. All the same, I think it is pretty amazing, and encourage you to keep posting art.
Third Place: Luminescence,
I really like the design and sort of funky and bold portrayal, and it seems sort of vibrant despite the lack of colour, in addition to all of the feeling of action that seems to eminate from the work.(I definitely prefer to do graphite sketches as well, and I think that this was definitely difficult to place in third instead of higher up)
Again, so sorry for the wait, thanks for your patience and hope to see the new submissions for the next round. Nice work to everyone who particpated, not only the ones mentioned here, and good luck on the next theme!

Aaaah thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
The next theme will be... Green! Judging will be on the *calculates 2 weeks from now* 4th. Since it's a holiday, it may be a couple days late or early, depending.
Good luck, and happy summer solstice!
