CB NaNo Classroom?

CB NaNo Classroom?
CB NaNo Classroom?
So I'm doing NaNo for the first time this year (definitely not gonna make my goal, but at least I'm trying) and I was wondering how the site works?? If someone could explain that to me, and also how the classrooms work, that would be great.

oof. So, a lot's been happening with the classroom lately... long story short, some trolls found their way to our old classroom, and Mice made a new one.
Anyways, when you're first making an account, once you're done with passwords and security questions and things, it'll ask you if you have a classroom code. The code for the new classroom is: RGLCGPPK.
As for the rest, if you click in the top right hand corner, you can update you Avatar + Bio (little blurb about yourself other people can see if they click on you profile pic). All along the top are different places on the site- your dashboard, which has your novel stats, classroom updates and PM notices; your novels, self-explanitory; your groups, which is classrooms; forums, which I don't know anything about because I'm not old enough to go on them; and resources, which is just like stuff from their blog and help from moderators.
Also, make sure you're on the young writer's program, if you would like to be in our classroom.
Aaaand that's pretty much it! If you have questions, just PM someone- click of their name and it'll say "private chat with _____" at the top. :)

You guys are infuriating with the troll accusations.

Well, Nyx, not everyone's calling them trolls but they don't seem to be CBers, and they're evading most of our questions about who they are, and they're posting tons of inappropriate content on our classroom. So it sort of seems like they might be trolls (which really just means people who are making deliberately offensive or provocative posts online to get attention).

Firstly, it was not tons. And I heard they deleted it. Secondly, they are allowed to not give personal information. Thirdly, all I asked, the whole time, was for people to keep their accusations to themselves unless they were messaging a moderator. Is that too much to ask?

Like Leafy said, people are using the word 'troll' to mean "someone who makes deliberately offensive or provocative posts online", whether to get attention or to provoke a reaction. The posts from the users seem to fit that definition, and while we don't know their exact intentions, it's not an "accusation" so much as a succint explanation of their behavior using what information we have.

Accusation or not, it could still have hurt their feelings. I'm done arguing about this.

They probably claimed they couldn't give personal information as an excuse to keep their identity hidden. If they weren't trolls, they wouldn't have been nearly as rude, and also would have stopped when asked to. By the way, I checked through the page they posted the inappropriate stuff on, and almost nothing was removed. So evidently they didn't really do that, also the comments that were removed were not inappropriate comments. As far as CBers who have suspected them of being trolls, there was lots of conversation behind this, and that was the only conclusion that made sense. They were clearly not CBers. Also, a troll is a human who goes on the internet with purposes of annoying, harassing, frightening, or bullying others.
I do not wish for this to come off as rude in the slightest, but I felt I should inform you of this. Many people have already spoken to you about this.

Like I said, done arguing about it.

Well, first off, it loads slowly for a lot of people, so don't freak out if it takes a minute or two to show you anything. Second, I only use it for the classrooms, but I think it's mostly there to keep track of how much you've written, give you prompts and advice, and connect you with other writers. Third, the classrooms are kinda like Google Classroom, if you've used that. You can join a classroom if you have a code, chat with other members, and maybe do assignments, although I've never seen one. The CB classroom is mostly for hanging out, I think. When you go into the classroom, there should be a list of places to send messages, like threads on the CB, and under that, a list of everyone who has joined. If you click on one of the people in that list, a thing should pop up that lets you talk with them privately.
Hope this helps!
