Drawing contest!
Drawing contest!
So, there's a poetry contest and a photography contest and writing contests pop up a lot, but there's not any drawing contests right now. I know that there are soooo many awesome artists on CB (many are way better than me lol), so I felt like it would be a good idea to start a drawing contest.
The first theme is going to be "beach", and I'll be judging on the 12th if more than two people enter. I hope this catches on!!

Okay, everyone, for the theme of Light, the judging is the following...
Third place: Alizarine, I really liked all the stars in the background, and it looks like it would've taken a long time to accomplish. I also loved the attention to detail throughout the wall-stucture, like with each of the individual planks and stair steps. Lastly, the focus of the drawing is brought to the fire in the towers, and I feel like it fits the theme very well. Overall, I really enjoyed your interpretation!
Second place: Clawws, it was an incredibly close call between you and Rogue, seeing as the perspective you included was awesome. I feel like the detail and depth was very easily portrayed, especially the contrast in shadows, particularly on the collar, and the illusion of light bursting out of a chasm. I am very impressed by the skill that you demonstrated in this contest and encourage you to continue participating, and drawing!
First place: Rogue Wilding, it was very difficult to choose between you and Clawws, as I felt like I could really appreciate the difficulty of the proportions, the contrast between light and dark, and the syle all throughout. I was amazed by the accuracy of the figures physiques, as well as the detail, such as the individual tufts of fur and the technique of the wings, which I don't think I would have been able to accomplish. The poses are also rather tricky, and I love how polished your style is in general! I was really impressed by your entry, and would appreciate seeing more!
To everybody else, thank you for participating, I loved looking over so many awesome drawings. It was really difficult to choose the best, but I hope you all continue being great artists and look forward to competing in the next round!

@Rogue- I've already posted this on the art thread but I haven't entered it in the contest before and I think it fits the theme really well...? Lmk if I should draw something specifically for the contest. :D
