Chatterbox: Pudding's Place
Dropping your backpack to the floor with a shockingly loud thud, you kick off your shoes and groan. What a day! You shudder at the thought at all the homework sitting in your backpack, probably plotting ways to become more difficult…
“Why does everything hate me?!” You cry very dramatically. You flop down on the couch as though one more second standing would have killed you.
Ouch! The sharp edge of something wedged into the couch cushions pokes your rear end. Huffing, you turn and grab it. It’s an envelope… Addressed to you. How curious… You take a closer look. The envelope itself is a handsome olive, but there’s no stamp, address, or return address. Most peculiar. Gently, you unseal the flap and remove two pieces of paper. The first one says:
To whoever’s couch cushion this was wedged in,
You and thirteen others have been detected to have elemental magic. To harness these powers within you and learn how to control this magic, you have been invited to Magicae Palace, a place where magic abounds. There are five elements you and your companions may be taught- fire, water, air, earth, and on that is not truly considered an element but I believe is truly essential- life. You AE(s) and CAPTCHA/CAPTCHAE have been detected to have magic as well, so they are encouraged to come. Vacation will last two weeks. The popcorn is free.
Best wishes,
Your hostess,
Simul Stoicheio (sigh-mull Stee-HE-oh)
P.S it is required that you fill out the second sheet.
You hastily stuff the first sheet away and proceed to the second-

Oh, Leeli! Perfect!
So, I was very eager/bored, so the first part is already done! Some notes:
I'm in a writing contest and it's due by the end of the month but I'm only halfway done, so that will come first. I'll try not to neglect this!
I tried to base the elements off of the fandom question on the sheet, but one overflowed, then others had ones in an element that I had to put extras into, so it's all mixed up. My apologies!
There are about 30 people total attending, so please be understanding if I don't mention you for quite a while.
So, without further ado, Day 1 part 1!
Jwyn Scanned the letter, scrutinizing all of the details. Curiosity gripped her like an unpredictable magnet, drawing her in and forcing her to get a pen and fill out her sheet. Name, Jwyn. Pronouns, she and her. She knew the drill- or at least, that little magnet of curiosity did. She finished the last bit of the sheet with a flourish, then turned to Alex and Inkling, who was chewing on a wad of pink gum. Alex was fiddling with a broken bookmark.
“Hmmm…” who to take? She knew Alex hadn’t been to one in a while. Why not.
“Alex, you’re coming with.” Alex groaned. Magically, another sign-up sheet had appeared when she said it, so she handed it to the introverted AE to fill out. Jwyn reread the letter (again).
“Huh. It doesn’t say anything about transporta-”
No sooner had the words come out of her mouth when the ground was disturbed under her feet and started piling up around her like a mini-earthquake/avalanche and swirled around her, threatening to swallow her up and sweep her off the face of the Earth. Next to her, Alex was being engulfed by a thicket of vines that had shot out of the soil and twisted themselves around her. Jwyn shut her eyes-
When she opened them, she was on the base of a perfectly round, smooth hill with ankle-length grass that was so beautifully and delicately green that it looked almost comical. On either side of her, Alex and Soren Infinity were struggling to get out of a tangle of vines.
“Oh, hi Soren!” greeted Jwyn.
“Hmm? Oh, sup Jwyn?” asked Soren, still struggling with the vines. “Uhhrg- I just- there!” she grunted as she slashed at the vines with her tail.
All around them, other CBers, AEs, and CAPTCHAs were appearing in whirlwinds, blasts of flame and smoke, twisting lakes of water, minute avalanches, or cages of vines. To their backs was a giant, lush green forest, and on top of the hill-
“Spectacular,” whispered Viola?. For at the top was Magicae Palace, a vast, grand castle that looked like it had just leapt out of a fairy tale. It even had a portcullis and everything. Mor immediately started snapping pictures. Quill and Gracia followed her lead.
Just then, a small sphere of white light glimmered on the top of the hill near the entrance. It grew bigger and bigger, brighter and brighter, until-
The light turned into a women whose appearance was quite spectacular. Her dress seemed to be made of silver streamers that hung a few inches off the Earth, and she didn’t appear to have any feet. Her skin was shiny, a pleasant shade of heavily creamed coffee. Her eyes were bright gold, and her long, floaty hair was most peculiar- it was like a rainbow traveling along her back. This deeply fascinated Sea Glass- xe watched as the red band traveled from the roots of her hair down her her shoulders, her back, her waist- then, just as it began disappearing from the bottom, it started reappearing at her scalp again. The woman, who many of them had rightfully assumed as Simul Stoicheio, motioned for them all to come up the hill. Alex glanced at Jwyn with raised eyebrows. Jwyn, in silent reply, shrugged and began to climb the hill, which was very steep, but had no hidden holes to fall in or stray pebbles to trip on. This didn’t trouble Nihil or Nymph; Nihil simply teleported into the shadow of Marigold, who had made it to the top fairly quickly, and Nymph morphed into a unidentifiable, lanky creature with suction cups on her hands and feet.
Once they had all struggled to the top of the hill, they could appreciate the amazing view it provided- the cloudless sky was so blue it could have been a canvas painted with an impeccably blue hue. Rouge inwardly hoped that there would be windows. They could now also see small yet distinct paths branching out into the woods. These, too, were unbelievably perfect, with tree branches bending down to make arcs for the entrances. Dewy yearned to run down the hill and explore the paths, but her common sense kept her feet planted firmly where she was, knowing she would get in trouble for running off to the woods with no instructions. Dewy hated being in trouble.
“Why are you all still out there?” Called Miss Stoicheio, who had entered the palace and was simply waiting on her guests.
“We were just- looking at the awesome view,” said Secret.
“Come on then! You’ll have plenty of time to run around and enjoy the sun and get beautiful grass stains later!” she encouraged cheerfully. Artimerrx raised his eyebrows, as did many other CBers. Beautiful grass stains??
All of their doubts about Simul Stoicheio, however, immediately ceased the palace. It looked a bit like Hogwarts, actually. They had walked into an entrance hall so big it could have easily fit an average-sized one-story house into it. The floor was blanketed with a handsome burgundy rug, and large tapestries and majestic paintings hung on the walls. The ten-foot ceiling was decked with a delicate crystal chandelier. On either side of them, the Chatterboxers could see several staircases and wood doors, even a rickety wood ladder in one corner. Directly in front of them was a giant pair of oak doors, with no other doors along that wall to give it a grand feeling. Five people came from various doors and descended from stairs and stood behind Miss Stoicheio.
“Welcome, Chatterboxers, AEs, and CAPTCHAs, to Magicae Palace, where magic abounds! As you know, you all have elemental magic. We here thought we should train you in how to use and control it. Each element has a different instructor- fire will be with Ingus-” she indicated to a short, fierce-looking woman with brown skin and black hair with red streaks in it- “Earth will be taught by Terra -” a rough-looking man with messy, tangled brown hair, dark green eyes, and tan skin- “Aqua will teach water-” a skinny young man with light blue eyes who was hiding timidly behind the others- “Caeli [pronounced like Kiley but more like Kai-ah-ley] is the teacher for air-” a plump lady who had grey eyes and was grinning merrily- “And Vita will teach life.” Vita was a tall man with eyes as green as the grass outside a spattering of freckles.
“All those of the same element will sleep in their element common room together. Lessons on your magic will be taught from 2-4 P.M. Today will be an exception from this, because it is devoted to familiarizing yourself with the palace and its surroundings.”
“Now, what you have all been waiting for... These are the elements that you have powers with.” The group stiffened. Simul Stoicheio Procured a small scroll from nowhere.
“In air, we have Rouge, Nihil, Nymph, Boo, Leafpool, Winter, and Reese. In Life, we have Soren, Dewy, Night Vision, Gracia, and Caribbean. In Earth, we have Levana, Hazel, Jwyn, Catsclaw, Leeli, Caspian, and Darkking. In fire, we have Artimerrx, Autumn Artist, Sea Glass, Mor, Wendy, and Devin, and in water, we will have Secret, Quill, Viola?, Marigold, Far, and Wren.”
Simul Stoicheio threw the scroll up in the air. It dissolved before it could hit the ground.
“Follow the signs to your assigned rooms. Unpack your things and meet me down here for lunch! Any questions?” Hazel raised her hand. Simul stoicheio called on her.
“Tofu?” she asked.
“Hazel, you brought your own tofu,” scolded Leafpool.”What she meant was… should we call you by your first name? Or Miss Stoicheio?”
“Just call me Simul, lovelies.”She smiled mysteriously at them, then opened the oak doors dramatically and glided into the big room behind her.

Fire? For Sea Glass? I never would’ve guessed.
It does appear odd...
Water sounds about right for me, though, and I can see Nymph being air.
Meh.
Wonderful writing. I hope to see more soon!
