What's everyone going as for Halloween? I'm planning to make a Rae costume from starwars. Should be pretty easy, but still fun. My friends are all going as a character from starwars and we're going trick-or-treating together.

I'm going as the Winter Soldier! I went as Rey two years ago, though. *high fives Coroline* When I went as Rey, my mom was Han Solo and my Dad was Chewbacca. My parents and I always do group costumes XD

Thanks! I already have most of the parts: I got the half-mask thingie from a yardsale, and I already have the vest (from when my mom went as Han Solo). The arm is a work in progress, though I think it'll be done in time. I'm kind of worried about the pants... Thanks, though!

Ooh, I love to hear about costumes! You guys sound like you're going to look amazing! I'm going as Cruella deVille because I adore dramatic makeup. I was Medusa last year and now I'm hooked.
I'm going to hand out candy this year, not because I feel too old, but because I want to buy extra and let everyone take a handful or two.
By the way, is anyone else kind of bothered by those teens who just grab pillowcases and don't make the effort dress up? " Would it be petty to only give them one piece? *evil Cruella chuckle*

Nah, they need more effort in their costume. *sweats because my costume is black shoes, black pants, a mustard colored hoodie and a ski mask that I have yet to stitch a frown face on*

I'm so excited for Halloween! My street goes CRAZY for it, there's one house that transforms itself into a haunted mansion and their decorations are insane. They have an actual ship in the front yard with a bunch of skeletons dressed as pirates on it. The entire block is completely decked out in spooky stuff and they block off the street because it gets so crowded!
I don't know if I'm going to trick-or-treat this year, I think I'm getting a bit old for it, but my school has a really awesome Halloween celebration they call "Alleyween" and you basically have to dress up for it otherwise people will rag on you for being a party pooper. :P I have no idea what I'm going to be, though. If anyone has any suggestions for me that'd be awesome!
I was going to go as Inej and Kaz from Six of Crows with my friend Emma, but we decided against it because no one would know who we were supposed to be. I may just end up being a witch or something if I can't think of anything else...
@Marigold, your costume sounds so cool! Dramatic makeup is awesome. I'm terrible at makeup myself, so I'm always super impressed by people who can do it!

Assuming I finish the cloak in time, I'll be going in a feather cloak and horns with tall boots and maybe a dress, all in black. I'm kind of self-conscious about the fact that this isn't from anything, but my mom suggested I make up a character around it. So far I've got something something, Child of Darkness. If you have any ideas, please do tell me.

I love having an excuse to wear a costume every year, but I have trouble coming up with something good. I'm open to suggestions!!! A few things:
-I hate makeup, so I don't want it to involve any kind of face paint or anything.
-Nothing dark or spooky
-I really want to be a book character

Jwyn, it depends on the sort of books you like. One of my friends went as Bellatrix from Harry Potter last year and it was great! You don't need makeup for a great costume anyway.

I think I’m going to be a book character! If anyone has read Percy Jackson, you most likely know who Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano is. I’m going to put my hair in a braid, put on a purple shirt and jeans, and make a toga out of my bedsheet! I’m so excited!

I'm super excited for Halloween this year! I'm going as a Newsie, which is going to be so much fun! We get to wear costumes to school on Halloween, so I'm going to talk in an accent all day and offer to sell everyone papes.

SO! This looks like the right place! I need help on a halloween costume! This always happens because I never prepare! I was thinking on being a pirate but I want to be something scary. Anyone have Ideas?
